A fun personality test for those who are interested: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp (it's kind of long, around 70 yes or no questions, but it's really interesting IMHO)

One of the reasons why I'm posting this test is because I'm really interested to see what type of personalitiy everyone get in the test and if you feel that the result is accurate.

I'm a INTJ: http://www.personalitypage.com/INTJ.html

(dammit, the poll is broken because I accidently clicked "post" too soon. Please post your opinion in the thread instead)

(err... nevermind. I think it's ok now?)

I'm an Intj for the none of you that care.

This sounds slightly accurate.

Perhaps a poll of possible answers would be good so we can laugh at all the intj's that infest this site.

I've taken this test in the past, and gotten both ENFP and INFP. They both apply to a degree, but ENFP is the one that most applies to me currently.

http://www.personalitypage.com/ENFP.html

http://www.personalitypage.com/INFP.html

And I'm expecting a lot of INTJs on this site.

INFP.

And this site will be full of people who manipulate the test to come out INTJ because that's the most badass result. Not that that's a problem, like all personality tests on the internet, it's for fun. :)

Sounds ok I guess, I don't know, lots of people say I'm an extrovert, but I really enjoy spending time alone.

I'm INTP. Apparently. After all, it doesn't reflect very much about me, and what I am, other than I'm rather hasty when something isn't important.

INTJ master race here ;)

I was genuinely surprised at how accurate it was. The profile of the INTJ got most of my traits completely correct, with only a few errors concerning choice of career. This profile analysis: http://typelogic.com/intj.html was probably the most accurate.

Good fun, and I certainly got a confidence boost reading it :D

"Able to concentrate better than any other type"

That's the only part of the description that doesn't seem right, the rest of it is bang on, especially "It is difficult for an Architect to listen to nonsense, even in a casual conversation, without pointing out the speaker's error".

Intj high five!

Ontopic: quite accurate, to be honest. At least a lot better than most of these tests.

I came off INTJ, borderline INFJ. With the J being debatable.

My bet is most people here will come off INTJ, even though (theoretically) INTJ's make up about 1%-2% of the population. The reason? The "Mastermind" personality type possesses a lot of the traits most people who come to this site would like to think they have, my self included. Do we really have that type? IDK, but I do know that tests like this tend to be unreliable because of self bias. Do you really act that way in this situation? Do you really prefer to do things that way? It's hard to say, because we're often our worst critics (one way or another)

The biggest problem I have with the test is that the questions are binary. It's either one or another. A better method would be to have a scale.

Sorry. Don't go for a psych degree. Even after changing your major you never get away from it.

Presumably the results of the poll should lean toward very accurate. The test is based upon how you see yourself, then assesses how accurate it was at repeating how you see yourself.

You are:
distinctively expressed introvert

(surely that must be a contradiction)

INFP here, known that for years though. It's very accurate if you know how to test yourself properly.

Also, I've done this thread with a poll before and successfully predicted the INTP/INTJ bias.

That's definetly a possibility. Personally I don't really see what's so great about being a INTJ though. I think they have allot of drawbacks as well (I've personally tried to correct my own precieved faults and worked hard to improve them).
