A friend of mine recently showed me PETA's new ad campaign, which she saw as a horrible display of violence towards women.

What are your thoughts? Can PETA get away with stuff like this?

I'd say its just in poor taste in general. No need to be specific. It's just shitty advertising.

Just peta using blatantly false advertising in a desperate attempt to spread their bullshit. More than hurting women being in poor taste for a joke, why exactly would you want this? Why would you want to injure your partner? Or is peta just really desperate to get that much sought after sadist market.

I thought they were going somewhere else with that, like "Boyfriend was abusive, then he went Vegan and wasn't anymore" Honestly, these seems as silly (if not more) than the Go-Daddy commercials. Sex can't sell everything, especially if it has PETA's logo on it.

Honestly, it's sadly not surprising. They are like the little kid in the corner shouting until you show them some attention.

Well as far as I'm concerned, humour has no limit, so that isn't a problem to me. However, it is a shitty and lame advert which doesn't bother me. Why? There are plenty of shitty and lame adverts and I'm not going to waste my time complaining about something that is easily ignored. A big "Meh" for me.

It's made pretty clear her injuries were an accident, so I don't see domestic abuse as a problem here.

I'm mainly just mystified by the attempt to sell veganism with promises of enhanced sexual powers. It just seems like a complete non-sequiter.

(Also, there's no need for an "I just want to see the results" poll option due to the "View results" button to the right of the poll.)

I voted 'no'. Though my real problem isn't that PETA seems to think that violence against women is funny but rather that PETA still exists, still gets money from people. The tremendous number of animals these fucktards kill every year is enough (or should be) to give anyone pause. So in conclusion fuck PETA. There are legit causes out there that care about animals PETA isn't one of them.

It's retarded because it's an ad for Peta, but there's nothing wrong with the ad itself.
A bit of sexual innuendo never hurt anyone.

I'd hardly call this innuendo.

Im less surprised about the advert itself being generally retarded than i am at the fact that anyone still lets them do what they want.

Seriously, has no one thought of showing them certain carnivorous/poisonous species theyre devoted to protecting, up close?
