Just wondering are we abundant or rare,

I mean lots of gamers watch top gear but how many really know cars?

Been around fancy show cars and racing cars all my life. Was sorta born into the lifestyle. Trying like hell to get away from it, bloody money pits!

Actually changing your vehicle's oil filter is quite easy, it's disposing of the used motor oil that's hard.

Can't legally drive a car, but I do repairs for my mates a lot. Prefer bikes, stripping em down, rebuilding them, building them from scratch, making parts and most importantly, riding them. I love cruisers and really want to build my own custom machine (when I get the cash).

I drive an auto. Car repair isnt my strong suit, so I made friends with a lot of car geeks at my highschool, knowing full well I would need them one day, and that when that day happens, i would get many cheap prices.

I can't legally drive, but I'm very competent behind the wheel.
I love cars and everything about them. One of my favourite games is a racing sim, the only sports I can stand are motorsports, so I know a bit about mechanics, parts, where things go and what they do, the theory behind repairing a car.. but so far I've only put the basics into practice.

What's petrol? Isn't that the stuff Mad Max uses?? Or was that pig shit....if only Master Blaster was around to explain it all to me again.

I can change tires, oil & filter. I can also drive stick, but my current car is automatic.
Petrol = Gasoline.

I used to work on my car a lot more when I lived with my parents. Having a garage and a second car made working on mine a much more attractive proposition. Nowadays it sits in a parking lot and needs to be in working condition every day so I can't really spend too much time on it. So the majority of my "work" on it consists of checking stuff for damage and then taking it to a shop to actually get fixed when I have the time.

Right, the first thought when I saw that title thread was: column chromatography... and me smashing the desk in despair.

Anyway, more interested in mechanical & engine design than actually driving. Bike rider...

I drive an automatic and have never pumped my own gasoline/petrol, let alone change oil. There's too many hills and too much traffic where I live for a manual car.

I can do regular maintenance on my own car but when the repair costs start getting into the thousands of rather let a pro handle it.

I can drive but I don't have my own car yet. Also my insurance is all screwy after my birthday so I'm not allowed to drive till it's sorted out.
