THANKS FOR REMINDING ME.SimuLord said:How about "people who pirate are petty criminals" or maybe the Nazi-esque "people who pirate are moral and intellectual degenerates who ought to be exterminated"?
To anyone boasting about piracy, I remind you: Big Brother is watching you and his eyes and ears are everywhere.
Which is why I don't buy it. If it's such a crime, why does anyone feel it necessary to steal it? You want to play, you pay the price offered. You don't want to pay the price offered, you don't get to play. How freakin' hard is this for people to grasp?AWAR said:Charging outstanding fees for something that is mediocre and has been done for years is a crime too..SimuLord said:You can try and justify it all you like, the fact remains that knowing your specs is 99% of the PC gaming battle, and piracy is still borrowing (or outright taking) something without the permission of its owner, and it's still a crime.PhunkyPhazon said:3. (This is also in response to LordNue) The entire reason I downloaded GTAIV was to sample it and make sure it worked properly before I bought it. It would have defeated the point if I didn't buy it.
How exactly is piracy taking something from the owner without permission? When I packaged up my dragon age torrent for people to download online I was letting everyone else enjoy the game I bought.SimuLord said:You can try and justify it all you like, the fact remains that knowing your specs is 99% of the PC gaming battle, and piracy is still borrowing (or outright taking) something without the permission of its owner, and it's still a crime.PhunkyPhazon said:3. It is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of fact. By what right do you "share" the material? Do you own the intellectual property rights to do so? Did you read the EULA? You are doing something which by law constitutes theft of intellectual property no matter how hard you try to justify it.AWAR said:Pirating isnt "stealing", it is sharing which is amazing..Whatever, this your opinion and you are entitled to it and blagh blagh blaghSimuLord said:Which is why I don't buy it.
