I've watched almost every single pixar movie, and i think they're just getting worse. i don't think it's about maturity, because i love all dreamwork movies. i mean i loved toy story because of the imagination that toys lived for real. so when i was young and i had watched toy story for the first time, i'd always run to my room as fast as i could to see if i could discover the toys talking. when i saw "cars" i almost fell asleep. so, is pixar running out of story?

Nah, I personally think that their great movies are just alittle more few and far between than thay used to be.

yes it is getting worse, i watched up and when did they animate blood into their movies wtf? In short they are running out of ideas. Now that Disney bought Marvel there won't be any good movies from them either

Considering that their two most recent movies were Wall-E and Up, I don't think they're exactly getting worse.

I saw UP recently, and it turns out that I just don't like film.

I mean, I enjoy watching some of them and accept that some of them are masterpieces, but most just don't do anything for me.

Up was a good movie.
I didn't care for Wall-E.
Never got around to seeing Ratatouille or cars.
Everything before that was great. As far as I can remember anyway.

I can see Cars, Ratatouille and Bug Life not being considered masterpieces, as these three get labeled "Alright" more than any other one. But the just made Wall-E and Up.

Up made me cry

3 times.

That means it's doing something right

Saw Up, I felt emotions even though the movie breaks the laws of physics and sens.

Wall-E was good too. It won a fucking oscar. (I know it won one for sure).

I would say they're getting better.

Maybe you're just getting older? Or losing your taste for Pixar.

Oh and ditto on the Up & crying

Up was their latest movie, and WALL-E came before that (if I'm not mistaken) - both of those movies were absoloutely amazing. So, to answer your question, I'd have to say better. The people over at Pixar are brilliant, as far as I'm concerned.

I think they are getting worse, or maybe it's because they don't entertain as easily songs we aren't youngsters.
Omg one of the options is peanut butter jelly sandwich! Haha that's so funny! [/sarcasm]. Please stop with the stupid options.

I think they keep getting better with pretty much each one. The only weak(ish) link was Cars. I saw Up and thought it was their most powerful piece.

Cars and Ratatouille, or what I call the "blip" films, are not as good as Monsters Inc / Finding Nemo / The Incredibles, all of which are excellent.

Never seen Bug's Life or Toy Story.

Wall-E was good both as a statement about society and as a family movie, but they didn't really mesh well.

Up was good. Not good for a family movie, good full stop.

I think that the next two years, which will include Toy Story 3 and...Cars 2 (WHY)...will provide them with a period in which they can simply sit down and work on a load more ideas.

well your Marvel films are safe for a few years, there are still pre-disney contracts active with other studio's. Sony Spiderman, Xmen Fox etc.
Personally, the Road to Avengers contracts with Paramount have been enjoyable so far and I look forward to the rest. (Ironman, Hulk, Thor, Captain America & Avengers)
