Poll: Pokemon Vs Digimon

Okay I watched both these series a ton back when I was a kid and well I always watched and love Digimon way more so although they have their differences which do you feel was better and why?

I know there are a lot of differences, From what ,to the amount of people/monsters, even the message within the show, but back when I was a kid they where always on at the same time and people always debated over them. So it just always seemed like they competed...

I always had to decide which to watch and I am not saying they are the same just which do you prefer what has a better story IYO if anything I am asking for people to look at the differences

I always like Pokemon better probably because I watched it first. That and, as a petty kid, I disliked Digimon because of the people I knew who liked it.

After getting older, I do find some enjoyment and merit in Digimon (only seen a few episodes here and there though). Still, my vote goes to my first love, Pokemon, but only the first two or three seasons. After the Orange League, it just started going to pot. I did rather like the very first Johto season, but started losing interest after that.

Pokemon actually bored me by the time I was in fourth grade. It takes a LOT to bore a 4th grader.

Now, Digimon...That show kicked ASS.

I loved Digimon more because it didn't overstay its welcome, unlike Pokemon, which is still going on now...That and Digimon aged their characters, where as Ash lives in pre-pubescent hell.

I hate later episodes of Pokemon, but the first ones were pretty cool.
So Pokemon.

Digimon was just kinda chasing Pokemon's coat tails.

Digimon had a plot, and no set limited number of said creatures that can cause frustration in fans.

They are pretty different; I don't understand why people keep on comparing them. Sure, they both have 'mon' in their names...but...sigh.
Branding Digimon as a copy makes me mad.

If we are talking about the shows...Digimon wins HANDS DOWN.

Pokemon I guess. I can recall Digimon though in a far distant memory, I can remember a orange T-rex ? =_=
Anyway pokemon is my choice.

Loved digimon easily one of my favurite cartoons growing up I had all the cards still love the movie to this day the CD has awesome music and you know what makes it better than pokemon a actual plotline

It's the same thing with console wars. You picked one of them and want to justify that you chose right, so your choice is better in your mind.

It is childish to argue over this.

If you watch both series now, on their own, you'll see that there is no competition or comparison.

Pokemon has better manga and game series (no matter how many hours I sank into Digimon World, I sank 10x more into Pokemon). HOWEVER if we're going about Anime, Digimon was sooo much better just because Pokemon was all horribly foreseeable. "OH NO, PIKACHU ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO BEAT THE GYM LEADER, NOW IT'S EITHER A 3 EPISODE TRAINING SESSION OR THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP WILL GET ME THIS BADGE FOR DOING NOTHING!!!"

Also I hate how in the Pokemon anime, there is a HELL of a lot of strategy (pikachu standing on his tail for instance to avoid earthquake) that isn't implemented in the games...ever...oh sure you couldn't at the time, but now? You could probably get something like that on the WII and that's saying something. Why you no make Pokemon new again Game Freak?
