I don't really care about PC. It all means the same, and I don't mean it to be offensive if I call someone black instead of African American, so why waste the syllables?

Hell no, political correctness has gone nuts. It's gaining on Britain's health and safety laws in terms of level of insanity, and that's saying a lot.

Same here. I don't try to act a specific way, except for following the law. I don't care what people think.

To be honest I could not care less about that. If I'm called a racist it's more likely that it's the other way around.

I don't usually do this but please use the search bar. A thread just like this was done a couple days ago.
Now to answer your question no I am not. Being politically correct doesn't help anyone or anything and does no good. It is just annoying and angers me (slightly).

Uh.

I wouldn't describe myself as intentionally politically correct, but I'm not going to run around shouting things that I know will be inflammatory to the present company.

I am a rather polite individual, but that has more to do with my upbringing than anything.

PC is the bane of my existence and should be purged from pop culture that way i can go back to laughing at jokes about the sexes or other races and even my own race in piece after all if you cant laugh you will take things too seriously

Okay lets put this into context.

"They're not 'racially-handicapped' they are black."

Personally I find that hilarious.

In normal conversation I won't hide away from saying black, white, gay, etc. but at the same time I won't spout off a load of derogatory terms with the sole purpose of hatred as I don't call that 'normal conversation'.

It's not what you say, it's the context in which you say it.

Although I've never seen anyone spell something wrong so consistently in all of my 16 years of life.

What is PC changes so frequently and is os subjective it's impossible to be truly PC, so it's a we may try very hard to be, but it's all such a nonsense. People can see the difference between you being racist or rude and someone who is fundamentally quite polite. PC makes social interaction more awkward because you become more tentative about the language you use.

Case in point: I used to work in game retail, and a customer asked me where a certain item was, I told her it was just in front of "the young black lady" across the room. The customer I was talking to looked at me quite worriedly, then walked over. I felt like I had said something wrong, but patently it's just PC sensitivity. The best thing to do is just treat everyone like a human being, regardless of ability, race or creed...

i try to be, but to be honest i don't know why. the only people who enforce them are self righteous saints who still tell you not to smoke but don't realise it's only because they were told not to by someone else, or R.E. teachers, or history teachers, or any teachers to be honest. most people are completely fine with it, but i draw the line at racist names like "paki" and "chinky". I'm okay with black and white though, as Jedoro said, it just saves space, i would feel a bit odd being called "caucasian", when i'm clearly white as vanilla.

I pick and choose how to be politically correct. I don't call mentally handicapped people "retarded"... but I refuse to refer to a black person as "African American". That term is so idiotic.

It is beneficial to know when and how to use both. Being pc can be advantageous when in a job interview or talking to a pretty girl for the first time.

I say whatever I want and don't censor. It's the way life should be. If someone doesn't like it they don't have to talk to me. You can not censor reality people!
