Poll: Poll threads without actual polls.

Recently, I've been seeing a lot of threads with "Poll:" in the title, without actually having a poll, and I was wondering what everyone on the Escapist thought of these.

Personally, I find them greatly annoying, suspect that, in most cases, it is merely a shallow attempt to draw in more thread views, and wish that people would stop doing it (Or, at least, do it less frequently and/or with better reasons).

Note: Searched, found nothing, if this has been done before, please link to the original thread.

Edit: A glitch in the system is another likely possibility.

That's pretty much it. The thread has a poll, they post the thread, the poll goes walkabout.
I don't find it that annoying. It'd be worse if just a poll showed up and not the rest of the post.

They're usually glitches.

Or they just didn't hit the "make this thread a poll button. I've made a few polls and never had that problem, so I just assumed that they put poll in the title themselves and didn't hit the check-box on the way out.
