Eh no. By the time they made it ps2 would be even more outdated. I think they already said that they will never remake it because it would take 20+ years which extends beyond the ps3's ten year reign.

I'd settle for a good final fantasy that is both fun and interesting. Dont care if its a 7 remake or not.

You should have a "no remake plz" option. I loves me some FFVII but I am against the idea of a remake. Only disappointment can stem from such an idea.

With the PS3 holding it's own right now, I would say the smartest move for Sony would be to help the anemic PSP by putting some more Final Fantasy games on the PSP, and 7 is the motherload.

Just like how the 3DS is going to have Ocarina of Time (if the leaked imagery confirms anything) means that people (like me) will buy it, FF7 would be the shot in the arm that could really bring big sales for the PSP.

I wouldn't buy one for the PS3, let alone a PS2.
The PS2 is already slightly outdated, and it will only continue with the time it takes to make one.
It isn't helped by the fact that I found FFVII terribly average.

Instead of remaking 7 I have a better idea. Take 14 and make it as good as 7. Recapture the magic and put it in a new game.

If we could do like...a remake of FFX with a Squall-esque character instead of Tidus, that would be awesome.

Here's an idea.

Get the Enix team to fuck the hell off from any project involving Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy was only good before Squaresoft merged with Enix.

Yes. The original Final Fantasy featured characters who looked as though they were constructed with Lego blocks. I would like to see a PS2 version however, I don't want it to look like a PS2-era Final Fantasy title. If they used the PS2 technology, they could make it look like FF-VI and add in either full 3D cut-scenes or, anime cut-scenes. That probably sounds more like a Sega CD era game but, the technology is, at this point, perfected and could therefore be utilized to it's greatest potential. Or so I would think...This may work better on the PSP like what they did with the Lunar remake

I can safely say that it doesn't need a remake at all. It'f funny, so many people think since I'm against the idea of remaking it, it means I hate the game.

It's quite the opposite, perhaps I love it more since like someone you love, it's fine the way it is.

I think if they are gonna remake old FF games, they are far better suited for the portables and don't need fancy HD advent children look a like remakes. FF7 would work Brilliantly on the PSP witht he same art style crisis core and dissidia had. That artwork fits the game way better than nifty CGI as it adds a lot more character to the game and is just more pleasant on the eyes.

Besides, it would be nice on the PSP just to pick up right where crisis core ended, and portable remakes take FAR less time than a full blown console remake. Old RPG remakes just work better on portables, and I honestly think they just don't have enough there for a full console overhaul.
