Poll: Problem with the Border Advertisement

So, the border ad currently being shown for "Space Janitors" bugs me. Not only because the two guys who stare at me while I'm on this site look annoying, but because the left side of my screen is still completely white, but still counts as clickable ad space. I keep clicking on it accidentally because I don't know were it starts or ends and keep getting launched off site. It is inconvenient.

Was actually about to post a thread. In a few minutes of browsing the site, the freaking ad was opened 5 times with me ever meaning to click on it since ANYTHING that isn't explicitly required for something else on the site is part of the ad. Just no. NO.

This is actually very very very annoying to me as well, I use two monitors and the Escapist is normally open in a Firefox window on one of them.. switching monitors is as simple as dragging the mouse across and clicking the window I want to access. Until this ad turned up, that was fine. Now it opens a window when I click on blank white space.

Argh, yes, that's very annoying.

I'm not going to accuse the Escapist of setting it up so we keep accidently opening the ads, but it's a clever idea if anyone does that.

It really bothers me because when I try to click on the forums, it sends me to a new tab.

What's more annoying is that I need to be in the Pub Club to see what it is advertising. So you're pretty much clicking on an advertisement to go see another advertisement that has nothing to do with the first advertisement.

What it should say is "Click here for a sneak peek behind the scenes*

*Only Pub Club members can see this 'sneak peek'"

That's... pretty hilarious actually.

I have the background set to the darkest option so I can see a difference where the forum body ends and ad space begins, so it's easier to avoid clicking on it.

Yes, it's very annoying when I multitask. I want to go back to my browser, hit the apparently empty space on the left and find myself going to the ad that only appears to the right -__-

It's training me to hate Space Janitors. I don't know anything about it, but I already hate it.
