Basically i have to decided which one to buy by tomarro....

i have seen reviews on both and they seem pretty equel
rage seems to be more polished but dead island's gameplay looks more fun and intresting as oposed to the normality of rage fpsness.

please help me decide as right now im leaning towards dead island

and please dont say this useless stuff of "get both" or "get neither" im going to buy one, which one is better??/ more enjoyable

p.s i loved fallout 3 but who didnt?

EDIT: they will be played on an xbox 360

I have only tried out Rage on the PC and I love it. The shooting is solid, the enemies behavior is great and the story is... meh, but it's still a freaking fantastic game. Alot of people had trouble with the game, but I believe it has been fixed now.
Now I havent played Dead Island yet, so I can't really say anything about it

Personally I would buy Rage, but the decision is entirely up to you. Although, I have heard that the PC community is having issues with Rage, so just a heads up.

Rage, because Dead Island gets old after a while. And by a while, I mean 5 or so hours.

Rage,because dead island sucks.
an explaination would be nice :)
Porn has more plot than Dead island,it gets boring very quickly, the game is still buggy as hell, the updates deleted your save files(could be also in the next updates), theres only 6-8 mods and some of time are the same just with a different name, the animations are stupid, the sidequests are boring, repetitive and annoying, you litearly have no choice(there's a time where someone yells "help" and if you come to him you get ambushed and after you kill everybody he says "please don't kill me" and you can't kill him instead you get a quest to save his daughter).

I hope it makes abit more clear.

And also since you're playing on the xbox you will have much less glitches & bugs.

Rage. I played Dead Island and after about 3 hours it became a mundane and repetitive journey that I couldn't bring myself to finish. And the aiming is hella wanky in that game. I just bout Rage a few days ago and the night I bought it I played until three in the morning, even though I knew I had work a mere 6 hours later :p The enemies always keep you on your toes and all the weapons feel like they have power behind them, and are also simply a joy to use.

Get Rage for the xBox and Dead Island for the PC as the first seems to s*ck on the PC and the latter has some promising MOD capabilities!

I can't vote because I've played both and enjoyed both. Rage is great for all the reasons already stated. I've been lucky enough to have no technical problems with the game which I got for pc on release day. I've found Dead Island to be lots of goofy fun when played with friends. 4 people giving champagne to the party girl at the same time is too silly for words, and hilarious.

Assuming they both have a demo, why don't you try the demo's then decide? I've only played Dead Island out of both of them, but I plan on picking up Rage tomorrow, so until then my opinion is pretty useless.
I enjoyed dead island, everyone cried that the game is buggy, but other than the occasional pathing issues with the rams it was fine for me. Some of the side-quests are stupid.
You have to collect a Teddy Bear at one point. And then there was the girl who wanted the champagne who deserved to die because she wouldn't shut the fuck up with her irritating whiny voice, but gave you diamonds for champagne so visiting her was a must.
The side-quests were the only problem I had with the game, although the difficulty curve rises pretty high in Act 2 and levels out in Act 3 which was weird, making Act 3 feel easier than Act 2.

I really enjoyed Dead Island, I really don't understand all the criticism, The aiming felt good I used the analog system all the different weapons have different reaches you just gotta be careful of what your using and get used to what your swinging. I played on Xbox and didn't have any problems with bugs other than my original copy got scratched. I didn't get bored with it but the game play was something I found great fun. If you get it for Xbox you won't have much problem with bugs, the only thing that bothers me is that sometimes when you throw a weapon into an enemy if you don't retrieve it quick the enemy it is stuck in may disappear.

Rage is a really good fps its lots of fun, very polished the enemy animations are beautiful and slick and great for keeping you on your toes. Its quite a lot of fun. The engineering mechanic lets you make some fun stuff. But it doesn't really strike any new ground. It just a really good fps.

I'd say if you think Dead Island will be something you enjoy and your tired of fpses you might give it a shot.

I'd go with RAGE. I've played both, and I have to say that Dead Island just dragged on at parts, had cardboard characters, and the story got ready for some pretty interesting twists, but never went through with it, and then explains wht's going on in a brief bit of narrative that you might have just taken a snooze through.

Don't get me wrong, it's fun with friends, but you really have to just power through the first act to get through to the action, and forget playing it by yourself.

RAGE, on the other hand, is still a little slow in places, and is a little too race based for my liking (I'm not a fan of racing at all) and is a little more action packed, although falls into the same Fallout-y thing of having WAY too much money to know what to do with by about hour 4-6 depending on how fast you're playing to know what to do with.

I'll be honest, I've only played Dead island. The game has TONS of content, unfortunately a lot of the quests are boring. By act 2 all you're doing is running from car to car trying to get onto the roof before millions of zombies kill you pretty much instantly, but there really isn't much thrill from it because this is a game where death is just a very small inconvenience, all you lose is some money and resurrect right next to where you died so even with the tons of enemies you'll never feel very excited or tense. Dead island may be longer then RAGE, but dead island isn't anything THAT special.

RAGE definitely! It's so awesome. I played it all weekend and had a blast. They said its supposed to be ten hours long but I have played for 7 hours and I am not even out of wellsprings yet (the second town you go to) so there is plenty of fun to be had. Driving the buggy car are awesome and the controls feel smooth. I upgraded my caprino buggy and it's a beast! It can out run any bandit car and take a lot of hits and dish out some serious explosive justice. I would say RAGE is better but then again I am not a zombie game fan and i've never played dead island so I'm one sided on this. But I will still say that Rage is awesome.
