Like many other people in the world, we all know Mario from Nintendo, and the fact that Luigi is overshadowed by him for the most part, being second player, or an added bonus to Mario.
I was just thinking, other than Luigi's Haunted Mansion, that Luigi hasn't really been characterized. Luigi, since the haunted mansion, gives more a vibe into the supernatural, and i was just thinking concept and it will probably not be brought to light to Nintendo, and if so, probably won't work, since it is just concept, and i believe someone from escapist said long ago in our galaxy not so far away (what is far away and long ago?) , that good concepts =/= good game but why not present it on a forums, and embarrass me self ( yes i said MESELF)
I was thinking what was better than a galaxy.. then thought of other dimensions.. and then Luigi and evil Mario or even an evil peach being the ultimate baddy (very ironic and would be kinda funny). while in sunshine and galaxy, Mario and peach are on vacation, while at least away from their kingdom, so whose watching it? My answer is Luigi, even if hes a bonus character in Mario Galaxy, it isn't really his story, and the platformer begins with him just doing a check on the kingdom, doing a help grandpa toad quest of collect "interesting mushrooms", as soon to be in fact be an evil entity, that can shift shape for a small time, and true form is not revealed, ripping a hole in time and space itself, unleashing a twisted world, and even twisted events, and it isn't a Platformer with Luigi unless someone gets kidnapped, the mysterious dark entity takes Daisy or Rosalina (Luigi can have them both
hes nice to people and it seems hinted that Daisy is a couple with Luigi, but i prefer the deepness of a Luigi+Rosalina),(probably to have cake, but most likely to use them and his even plot to twist fate and reality)
The Gameplay could insure to having past gameplay with better graphics, and very dark scenery, unlike the normal bouncey happy feelings for the most part, with the twist of having old villians become allies, and using them to go through levels, like bowser ramming through the level, Boo to fly through it (with limits over normal ghost preventions) and even Wario to ehmm blast u up over gaps. Of course, why waste the new gadgets in New super Mario, or the stars in Galaxy.
So in short, A Main gaming story of Luigi, and the tells of him fixing the space-time continium, with gameplay of past titles, with add bonus of being able to use some past villains and their abilities, c'mon who doesn't want to be Browser rolling over Toads that almost never help with saving their kingdom.
