After looking at a the crap Disney has put out over the last couple of years (i.e. High School Musical) I look fondly back to my childhood to movies like Aladdin, Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dome, etc.
So I ask, are you ready for Disney to be Disney again?

Disney has been Disney. If you can't enjoy High School Musical, you need to stop worrying so much about what you should or shouldn't enjoy. They were fun movies. And if that's not to your taste, try Phineas and Ferb, I'm In The Band, or Wizards of Waverly Place.

Also, Hunchback wasn't horrible, but it had a lot more wrong with it than HSM. Mostly those stupid gargoyles.

It may be a while. Everybody who had talent in the writing department got axed during the second dark age, so Disney's got to hire some new people before we're going to see something matching the quality of the Disney Renaissance. Unless they just hand Disney Animation Studios over to the people who run Pixar, which I would be in favor of.

They did. Its called Princess and the Frog. The problem is, Rapunzel, a film which should have been collected in the traditional animation roster of disney princess' is a sub-par CGI one. I wish they would commit to putting one out every so many years and to make a collectable catalogue rather than what's hip, cheap, and fast.

They will never come to their senses and make anything good anymore. They may as well go bankrupt and let everything become public domain.

Hell yes! I'm so sick of the crap they put out nowadays. The classsic movies like the ones you listed are amazing and I know many of my friends still consider them great movies (we're in out late teens). I really hope Disney goes back to what made it great.

I don't think the problem is Disney in itself... I just think their target audience isn't interested in the 'classic' Disney anymore. For whatever reason.

After seeing what they're capable of in Princess and the Frog, hell yes. That movie was the bomb, even for a teenage guy.

Yes! And that's why I am going to see the new Winnie-The-Pooh Movie this year. As for their TV Channel, Hell yes but they won't ever go back (Not that I really paid attention to their TV Channel ever, I only watched the New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh when it was airing).

There was nothing wrong with Rapunzel. Rapunzel is one of my favorite Disney movies.

Highschool musical and Hannah Montana is all junk.

This, with the caveat that I haven't seen Tangled yet, although it did look like it was worth at least one viewing. The Frog Princess was great, and I am looking heavily forward to the new Winnie the Pooh film. Also, give Phineas and Ferb a shot sometime -- it's not an exaggeration to say that it's the best thing to show up on the Disney channel since all of the shows that grew out of the Disney Afternoons block got canceled. It took a few episodes for it to grow on me, but I'd even place it above Dave the Barbarian at this point, and that one was one of the best cartoons on TV period when it came out.

Why isn't there a "Disney should go die" option?

Although I suppose their old cartoons were infinitely better than the stuff they make now, but I never really like any of it.

Hellz Yeah!
Go back to your roots Disney!

This being said, I actually don't have a problem with most new Disney stuff... I just love Fantasia!

NO.

Disney should just let Pixar do it, since the actual Dinsey brand of animation is marred with stupidity and the spreading of some really regressive ideas.

Seeing as The Princess and the Frog was a pile of absolute shit, I'm really worried whether or not Disney's still got it. I haven't seen Tangled yet, though, but I'm not expecting miracles with that one neither.

The last somewhat-good movie Disney has made was Treasure Planet and that was only because Long John Silver was so freaking awesome.
