over the years there has been two types of blood effects sprays and puddles and i was wondering what do you prefer?
I agree with this. Yet to see a game have what can be called truly realistic violence, although it would be great if someone did make one like that to suppliment a really dark scummy vibe. Condemned kind of comes close, despite all the sureality, and so do the earlier levels of manhunt.....actually, I think the violence in some of the silent hill games could be called realistic, seeing as despite the fact that you're fighting monsters, you're generally pretty suck at fighting (like a normal person) and cant do much other than hit things with pipes till they stop moving.Bran Mugen said:In other words; non-realistic over the top, verus, non-realistic thanks-for-trying-award. I have yet to see a game that can be considered to have realistic violence.
Maybe you want to see brain matter and implications. I feel games, as a story telling medium should inspire thought as well as fun times. If violence is a way of doing this then I'm all in favour.super_smash_jesus said:non-realistic, as there is no need to see beautifully rendered brain matter. Making it over the top, ridiculous violence allows one to separate his actions from his morals, letting you focus on the game at hand, rather than the implications of what your character may be doing in the game.
