For those who don't know and aren't nearly as a written debate where for example:
Yatzee, Moviebob and Jim Sterling debated sequels

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/extraconsideration/9093-The-Good-the-Bad-and-the-Sequel
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/extraconsideration/9106-Sequels-Part-2

Over it's run the show featured the opinions Gram Stark, Shamus, James Portnow, Moviebob, Jim Sterling and Yatzee in textual debate.
What ever happened to that and why haven't more been made, I'm sure the issues are there?

What do you think?

I do remember those. I enjoyed them quite a bit. Would be cool if it came back but I'm sure there's a reason as to why it died.

I also enjoyed reading those back when they were still happening. I have no clue how to parse the bizarre options in your poll though, so I'm just going to ignore it. Seriously, what do they even mean, and how am I supposed to compare them to each other?

Yes, bloody hell, I loved Extra Consideration, but I can see several reasons why it's not done anymore.
Like what? Because I can't think of any reason the Escapist should have stopped that fantastic little article.

Well barring the fact that Extra Credits isn't running on The Escapist paycheck anymore, all of the people involved have to be rather busy.
Well that's a pretty good reason, and if that's the case then you won't hear any more complaints from me. But if the reason is that the writers aren't being paid enough to do it or somesuch, then I have an issue with that.

I would guess that it was a giant pain in the ass.

You've got Yahtzee who chills in Australia
You've got MovieBob who chills in Boston
You've got Jim Sterling who chills in the West Coast Mississippi (...I think. I can't find any info about Sterling's location at all. It makes it very hard to assassinate send him a gift basket. EDIT: Others have said Mississippi and who am I to call them liars?)

I'm assuming that it is just not worth trying to get everyone together. They've all got other things they do (Mana Bar, multiple shows/game overthinker, and Destructoid respectively). It seemed more like it was an "Extra Credits" project (hence the name) so when they left, they had no real reason to continue it.

While it was sometimes interesting, they just all seemed to agree with each other, which isn't terribly exciting. Also, they didn't ever talk about things for very long so even if they did have something interesting to talk about, it ended before they could really get anything done.

I have to agree with Tippy, I was generally disappointed by the feature. It was too short and given how opinionated the contributors were, there was very little disagreement or debate between them. I'd only really be exciting for a return if it was in an improved format.

Also, the poll is probably the most confusing I've seen this year, just saying.

I do believe it's somewhere in Mississippi, that should narrow your search for where to send that gift basket.

As for the feature, it was OK I guess, don't remember it being terribly interesting, didn't read that many of them.

Yahtzee doing Zero Punctuation, being a novelist, columnist, and doing the occasional Let's Play.
Jim has The Jimquisition and his entire gig at Destructoid.
MovieBob has Escape to the Movies, The Big Picture, and his column.
James of Extra Credits has to write the Extra Credits episodes while still being a game developer.
MovieBob has another webseries on screwattack called the The Game Overthinker. He's started a new spinoff called Overbytes that doesn't deal with the stupid story shit (alliteration!) and his discussions are usually pretty well done and thought provoking, similar to the Big Picture.

James also does a lot of teaching and basically keeps Extra Credits together. All the emails I've gotten back from them are signed by James and he seems to be the one in charge (I'm not sure, seeing as Daniel started the series on Youtube for a project).

OT: I'd love to see it make a come back but everyone's schedules are packed and Extra Credits are on Penny Arcade now so it'd be a little tough.

as for why, it might have been spear headed by the extra credits guys (as the names are similar and iirc the column came out at the same time as extra credits, kind of like yahtzee's column and movie bob's column), and when those guys (and gal) left over the whole fundraiser debacle, that idea went with them, although they don't seem to be doing it over at PA, though I could be incorrect.

It also may not be kosher to even discuss such things around here. The modwrath can be a bit draconian about certain things and I don't want to accidentally step on toes, so I'll just apologize for my insolence in advance.

I did enjoy it but I understand why it stopped, it's a lot of work for a paycheck that has to be split three ways.
