Sorry in advance to non-US escapists, but you might still find this amusing.
So I was reading up on the Iowa caucus results a few days ago, and since then I've been mulling something over. The GOP race currently has (or had, not sure if both are still running) two "Ricks," Rick Perry and Rick Santorum.
I told my partner if it came down to the two of them (which it won't, because, well, Obama, but that's beside the point) that I'd have to do a write in and put down Rick Astley. I then wondered that if that was the case, or at least in regards to who gets the GOP nomination, could enough people Rick-Roll the Republicans into Rick-Astley-for-prez in 2012? I have a feeling some Anonymous people might get a kick out of it, but I honestly don't go on 4-chan.
So, my question is two-fold:
1) Do you think a presidential-level democracy Rick-Roll would be funny?
2) Do you think Anonymous would go for it, just for the lulz?
Side note: I imagine the campaign posters being something along the lines of "Rick Astley for President: because he's never gonna give you up America."
