For some reason this question popped into my head just a little bit ago. Are most people Sadists, Masochists, or neither? I'm sure that we all have at least a touch of one or the other in us, but most of us probably fall right in the middle. Anyway, answer the poll and explain why you think you're that way.

EDIT: For those who might not know or can't recall which is which, sadists like to inflict pain, whereas masochists like to experience pain. And by like, I mean get their rocks off. XD

Sadistic when it comes to non sexually. I don't hurt people at random or anything but the times when I have had to defend my friends or family I did enjoy hurting the person and not just on a vengeance or righteousness scale. I also enjoy fighting with my girlfriend despite the fact that I do love her deeply. Maybe it's just some screwed up thing that I like conflict. I also deeply enjoy griefing people whom cause grief to others in games.

Sexually...um...dead and boring I guess...I used to be into some interesting things there but currently any fantasies I used to have were effectively killed off.

Neither. I've done some really awful things (like play inFamous three times and buy C&C4), but I sure didn't find any pleasure in any of those things. So I guess I'm just boring ol' regular dumbass.

But for sexual stuff (isn't that what they mostly use the terms to refer to, even though they can be for any other kind of pleasure?), still neither.

It really depends on my mood. I sometimes like the idea of hitting people or being hit myself (in a fight that is)

As far as sex goes, though I'm up for experimenting, I'm neither, as I've never done anything like that before.

As far as anything else goes, I'm a sadist. I write short stories sometimes, and I have a tendency for my characters to be quite sadistic with regards to handling situations and other people (I even made a thread a while ago asking what the worst forms of torture people could think of were, for one of my characters to use - bear in mind she happens to be one of the good guys...). Plus I have a weird fascination for blood and gore and for anything involving torturing someone, though I wouldn't do anything like that myself...
