Recently i've been bored to death with all of my GTA games, and would like to try out Saints Row 2. Having seen gameplay for it. Would it be worth my money to trade in my GTA 4 for it?

I'd recommend keeping your gta4 and just buying sr2 outright, but if you're truly bored of gta4 and cant afford sr2 without trading in, then yes id still say its worth it

If it's on the pc make sure you can run it. The pc port is horribly optimised and almost unplayable unless your system is better than the 'recommended' specs. If you can run it then go for it - very enjoyable game.

I would say YES!!

now the whole "running around causing mayhem" got old for me after GTA:san andreas

however the customisation in SR2 is amazing and loads of fun

and I loved the story and charachters (I kno not the kind of game for that thing..)

and have you seen the "power" trailer for SR3?

I would say yes...definetly, go console though if you can, Im even considering getting it again for PS3

I've heard people call Saints Row 2 the true spiritual successor to GTA:SA, and I kind of agree. I've played GTA4 and SR2 and as far as plain ol' fun factor goes, SR2 is that some sort of zany over-the-top craziness that GTA:SA has.

Despite both being suburban/big city sandbox games, GTA4 and SR2 are two very different games and are both good in their own way, so it's hard to pick one over the other. I'd definitely recommend both to anyone who likes suburban sandbox games. I guess it comes down to this: Do you want a more serious game that offers commentary on American city life and society, or a game that's more whacky and fun?

Yes. SR2 is much more fun. Have it for the PS3. I finished GTA IV and sold it. I've replayed SR several times. Also played through once in co-op online play with an old friend. Worked really well and was hilarious as we both made characters who looked as much like our real world selves as possible.

I'd say get it. It's pretty cheap right now anyways. I know there's the 360 bundle which comes with the first and second game, as well as an early access to the beta of the third, for $20. Don't know if they have the same thing for PS3, but I'd be surprised if they didn't.

I have only played Saints Row 2 for 360 and I loved it, great fun alone and even more fun with a friend online.

You can pick up the SR double pack on Amazon for $20 right now, and get a special promo for SR3 as well.

Get it for the console. Wish it was less buggy for the PC though. Someone made a mod that adds fuckload of things, more clothes and a UFO for starters.

It's totally buggy broken bullshit, they should play you to throw it in trash.
PC version, huh? It's not too buggy, in my experience, but it's laggy and the framerate's bad. Also, driving with a keyboard is bad at the best of times, but especially when the car's acceleration is insane and you can only floor it.
