Poll: Scariest game?

People have been fighting over what is the scariest games, with some numerous suggestions, so choose, which one is the scariest to you? Oh yeah forgot about Dead space

Why isn't any silent hill game beyond 3 avalible to choose in the poll?

Because I didnt consider 4-5 comparable to silent hill 1-3

EDIT:Except for Dead Space.
It didn't really scare me, though there were a few times where i jumped.

None of the above scared me, condemned 1 scared the crap out of me, i actually had to play it with the lights on. i've yet to play 2

None. Video games just do not seem to scare me. Even some the the ones that are considered to be the scariest, like Silent Hill 2 or Condemned, were just not very scary. I guess I just do not get scared easily. Strange, it is.

Of those ones.. Condemned is the scariest.

However, System Shock 2 is the scariest game ever. I had about 10 hours of crippling, continuous fear.

Agreed. None of those games hold a candle to the Penumbra games.

Also mentioned in this thread is the Call of Cthulhu game, and I agree with that choice up until the awful fps section at the end.

Well, it was all atmosphere... almost nothing happened. (I'll admit opening the door and seeing the missing mask made me fall out of my chair, though...)

But thats what is lacking in todays "horror" games, atmosphere. I hate everything that has come out claiming to be a "horror" game just because they don't focus on the atmosphere of the game.

Games don't rightly scare me, but Fatal Frame 1 gave me a few startles with its jump-out ghosts.
