This is not a question if you believe in whether or not the tablets containing the commandments exist.
This is a question asking you what you think is a better code to live by: the Seven Deadly Sins, or the Ten Commandments (the ones not having to do with god)?

7 Sins
Lust
Gluttony
Greed
Sloth
Wrath
Envy
Pride

The Ten Commandments (the non religious ones, the last six)
Honor your mother and father
Do not commit Adultery
Do not Kill
Do not covet
Do not bear false witness
Do not steal

Based on those two lists, the commandments. Several of the sins are central parts of human nature, and to deny them is to deny our humanity. Lust, in particualr, is quite often a virtue, in my opinion.

That said, I think both lists are pretty incomplete as far as moral codes go.

That basically should sum up everyone's answer for this thread. Human beings are far too complex and, dare I say it, 'unique', to be tied down by a set of rules like that. Eventually everyone choses their own moral code to live by. You just gotta hope that it's still within the boundaries of the law.

So basically, are you an evil bastard or not?
Not entirely. If you were to live by one of these codes, which one seems the most concrete, so to speak?

But I don't think the deadly sins were designed as an ideal way to live. Unless I'm being slow and you mean avoiding the sins.

The seven "sins" so called is just plain silly. And the ten commandments get nicely boiled down to two by Geroge Carlin [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCz0-HY1TLU].

Answer: I follow the law, with a couple of my own amendments.

I'll make my own code. I don't kill people, I don't steal (Often), I'm never envious of anyone really and I try not to eat too much.

Other than that I see nothing wrong with lusting after the opposite sex (Or same, depending on your preference), wanting money and being damn proud of myself...because I'm freaking awesome.

What about the seven new sins? Some people might believe excessive wealth is a bad thing too!

What the... someone brought up George Carlin before me?!

Oh well, so long as he's mentioned, that's what counts. I notice "Pfft, I make my own code" (currently) has more hits than any of the others. Of course, I helped that to be so.

I follow the Copter/Penny Arcade Laws Of Awesome:
