Yeah, I use them on Call of Duty 4 online multiplayer when a small map comes up. Almost guaranteed 1-shot kills.

I only use them when im loosing by like 10 points because theyre an easy way to get ahead. I hate it when people use them too much though.

And whats up with the poll? The only options are "Yeah I love shotguns" or "No im a coward"? Nice variety there. This thread seems like it couldve been started by the OP getting killed by a sniper a few too many times.

they're good fun to use. Especially flak cannons. I don't use them exclusively though. I adapt as the situation requires, or depending on the character. (eg, my stealthy boy in Deus Ex would hate them.)

If the other enemies have machine guns I stick to them but in very close combat shotguns are used. But ifthey are unarmed shotguns are fun.

Shotguns in pretty much everygame are just one shot kill method usually used by Cheap gits. However they can prove useful. I mean what other weapons are useful for clearing out a bunker full of camping morons then a few 'nades and a shotgun.

It has it uses but people just overuse it.

I'm not actually all that brilliant at aiming in FPS's, so i generally go for any 'area of effect' weapons because aim is less important

Depends on the level im playing.
Taking cod4 as an example, i have a class specially made up with my fav shotgun and perks to match (bandolier, slight of hand and steady aim if your wondering) so if a level like shipment/vacant etc come up then i can use it.

Normally stick to my M4/G36 tho

With graphics like they are now I've given up using shotguns. It just seems wrong whenever I use them.
