Poll: Should I buy Saint's Row 3 or MW3?

So I've recently decidet to either buy Saint's Row The Third or Modern Warfare 3, but I'm not sure which. So I'm asking you good people of The Escapist to help me out.

Gonna need a bit more information I'm afraid. What kind of games do you normally play? What are you hoping for from these two games? Seriously, I have no idea what it is that you like in a game, and those two are so wildly different that no-one will be able to give you a proper recommendation.

For what it's worth, I'll be buying Saints Row The Third but I won't be buying Modern Warfare 3. The reason is simply that first-person shooters generally don't appeal to me, particularly those with a war setting, and I absolutely loved Saints Row 2, and I've enjoyed everything that I've seen regarding Saints Row The Third so far.

Saints row the third is going to be a fun experience loaded with humor
modern warfare 3 is what it is, modern warfare, but then part 3

modern warfare games are being released nearly yearly
saints row games are being released with a minimum 2 year bridge

That's kind of like asking if you should buy a sandwich or go skiing. If you like FPS with a linear story and competitive multiplayer then go MW3. If you want a free roaming game where there's a lot of weird fun to be had and a lot of customisation.

for the love of the gods or god... or whatever, buy saints row 3, you play one call of duty you have played them all, saints row is actually original and most importantly fun, a game that is giving its all to make you have fun.... at least that what saints row 2 was like

I love how the poll currently shows Saints 27 MW3 nothing.

I've played both Saints 3 and MW3. So i'm pretty well qualified in giving a decent opinion on this. Saints is balls out insane fun. Seriously, the whole half an hour I was playing it was me grinning ear to ear.

MW3 was fun, but more of the same. I got to play the new game mode and I found it pretty damn fun. However its not worth a buy over saints.

Even the Game Informer articles about MW3 say the game feels like it is taking significant steps back instead of moving forward in any way and that many of the changes they are making are either pointless, confusing and for MP overpowered.

Gotta agree with everyone else, SR3 looks like it'll be new and fresh and balls to the wall fun, MW3 looks like a newly packaged rehash of the same game they've been releasing for the last few years.

Modern Warfare: Same old same old.

Saints Row, doesn't matter what you like, Saints is guaranteed to make giggle at least twenty times.

This poll is kind of akin to asking if you should eat the same ham sandwich you always eat or whether you should buy the first thing in the bakery that has more colours on it than you do

If saints row 3 can match the previous games it has my money. If it can top the previous games it has my money and my love. I loved 1 and 2 so I may be biased.

I would put up trailers for both but after watching a saints row trailer modern warfare trailers just seem boring to me.
