Hey escapists, i was looking online for a criss angel platinum magic kit, and i found one on the site, but i started ordering what it said to be the over three hundred tricks and the dvd of how to preform them as well as secrets to leviate with no props, but when i started ordering it said shipping was 20 bucks, so i figured i could buy it on amazon for less, i checked out the platinum magic kit and the ultimate magic kit and the ultimate one had a life story as well as the description of whats inside:

As Seen On MINDREAK - #1 Magic TV Series of All Time Message from Criss Angel I really got serious in the art of magic, after I received a magic kit for Christmas, when I was 10 years old. Throughout my teenage years, I spent my weekly allowance purchasing tricks from The Magic Shop, just minutes away from my home. I bought some great effects and wasted a lot of time and money buying garbage. I suppose in the hindsight it wasnt a waste, at least for you, because now I am able to create a really comprehensive MINDFREAK MONSTER KIT that contains beginner, intermediate, and advanced mind blowing illusions, such as the Penetration Glass which was the second trick I ever performed, and Christophers Nightmare which I performed at private parties in my teenage years. Ive even included my Secret Utility Device I use to this day on MINDFREAK - the most successful magic TV series in the world. I personally hand-picked and/or created the over 500 MINDFREAKS contained in this kit for ages 8 to 108 with the full spectrum of skill levels in mind from beginner to even the most advanced mystifier. Ive included the MINDFREAK KIT Instructional DVD to perform every MINDFREAK prop contained in this kit to make learning easy and fun. And as a bonus, Ive also included volumes 1 and 5 of my bestselling DVD series MASTER MINDFREAKS - each DVD with my personal step-by-step instructions on how to perform each and every insane MINDREAK including MY BIGGEST SECRET: HOW TO SELF LEVITATE, ANYWHERE - ANYTIME WITH NO PROPS! Ive also included 3 different official decks of Criss Angel playing cards, my personal practice tips and MINDFREAK teach-a-tricks from my bestselling book: Criss Angel MINDFREAK: Secret Revelations, a free online ULTIMATE LOYALFREAK Trial Membership at CRISSANGEL website and MUCH, MUCH MORE! My only wish is that there would have been a complete magic kit like this one when I started. Heres to all of you MINDREAKS - The Future of Magic is Yours! Loyally yours, Criss Angel Ultima

, but the platinum one had just this description:

Over 250 Mindfreaks - Instruction Manual - Props
$200 + Value
Includes Secret Floating Device
Includes Secret Utility Device
2 Decks of Criss Angel Playing Cards

HAHA, he even calls it "mindfreak". Does he know his customer base or what?

OT: no, that's the biggest waste of money I can think of right now.

Dude, you'd be better off learning some basic magic tricks from a hobby shop and then just making your own stuff.

I don't know, seems like a waste of money. Magic tricks are fun and everything, but $200? Unless you're planning to make a career of it or something, that's a bit much.

Also, isn't that levitation thing just making sure people stand at the right angle so it looks like you're levitating, when really, you're just standing on one foot or something?

Do it.

Then do something novel and horrifying to it, and put the video on Youtube.

OT: If someone famous is endorsing something, 4 times out of 5 it's something that person is putting out so as to add some coins to their own personal cash-vaults. There's nothing wrong with magic as a hobby but I would suggest buying something that doesn't have that kind of name added to the price tag. I'm not knocking magic but Criss Angel isn't the best kind of magician. I prefer Penn and Teller but I still wouldn't buy a magic kit just because they've endorsed it (that would be bullshit)

I would tell you not to buy that just on the principle that Criss Angel is a douche, and you shouldn't want to give him any of your money.
I'm only vaguely aware of who he is and I agree with this.

Well, that isn't as bad, but it's still kind of excessive, in my opinion. Like others have said, you can probably learn a lot of the tricks from other sources for much less.
