I'm a multi-platform gamer. Usually I don't have a tough time deciding what platform I want a game for and when I do I'll just wait until after release and read about any issues and differences between the versions. In this case I want the collectors edition making that probably not an option.

In the cases where there's a draw (negligible feature, graphical, and loadtime differences) I usually go for the 360 version because I like the controller better and Live > PSN. However in this case the 360 version has the multi-disc drawback. Which normally wouldn't be a big deal, I've swapped discs since games had less pixels total on screen than the texture a modern model's eye today, but I read that backtracking requires a disc swap back, and then back again when moving forward again. I can see that getting fairly annoying fairly quickly.

So what should I get it for, 360 or PS3? Anyone know any deciding issues I'm not aware of?

Reason for vote posts appreciated.

Whichever one costs less money. Swapping discs isn't that big of a deal to me, so it generally would come down to which one is softer on my wallet.

If you can get them for the same amount...probably the 360 if you prefer the controller. Swapping discs is just a minute every now and again, but a less preferable controller will stick with you for the whole game.

According to some early reviews the 360 version has some frame rate issues during cutscenes and heavy action sequences. PS3 it is this time around!

It's so weird that we've reached the point where with any game, it's a toss-up which version is better. Sometimes it's the PS3, sometimes it's the X360, and hopefully usually they're about the same, with only very minimal differences.

I prefer playing on the PS3 anyway, so it's good when the PS3 version is at least as good as the X360 version.

EDIT: It's multiple discs on the X360? Really? Wow. I expect that for an RPG, but this is surprising. Even Mass Effect 2 surprised me that it needed two discs.

Definitely would pick the PS3 personally. I thought that the gamespot review said there is little slowdown on the PS3 version while the 360 had some, might be worth the switch for you.
