I know that there are always a lot of these threads, but I am really torn and I would like to know what some of you guys think.
------------

I have always enjoyed WoW, but lately I have had to really been in the mood to play it and as a result of me not playing for 3 months I cancelled my subscription, but now I find myself very bored.

I miss WoW a bit and I have a feeling that it will give me something to do when...I have nothing to do.

I am not addicted and I play WoW like it is a game.

I want to go back and give it a try, but it cost $15 to do so.

So what do you guys think?

Note: I am looking for help and constructive advice only please.

EDIT: Hey guys can your read my OP before voting? Also, subjective voters would be nice.

EDIT2: I am a casual player who treats WoW like a video game and not like a job. I only have 1 level 80 and his Gearscore is only a respectable 5300

If you don't want to pay you always have the option of private servers... you didn't hear it from me. Nor do I condone it.

Personally, the $15 a month and the possible addiction is not worth it. If you really enjoyed your time, or believe that you will, then you might as well go back. If not, then stay away, especially if you are worried at all about the possible addiction. (Doesn't sound like you are worried, but just in case).

In short, I vote no, but it's really up to you and how much you'll get out of it.

I'm gonna vote No. However I'm intending on giving Cataclysm a month or two on its release, maybe you should try the same.

I did enjoy my time and I am not worried about an addiction (I cancelled my account on my own of my own free will), I just am worried it will still be boring when I get back :(

I wish it didn't cost 15...I miss it.

I cancelled my account of my own free will, I treat WoW like a game and am bored so I want to know what you guys think of a casual WoW player going back.

If you have a life then no. Unless, you're sure you won't get addicted.
However, if like me you don't have a life. Then go right ahead and enjoy some raiding.
I have a life and I won't get addicted.

But as of now my life is pretty boring...especially at night which is usually the only time I play.

Why don't you pay for a month, see how it goes, then you can decide whether or not you want to carry on?

I'm afraid you won't really get a good opinion from this site on this issue. I like this place, but there are far too many people here who seem to hate WoW or have a skewed opinion of it, so most of what people will say will seem to be "WoW is satan" or something like that. Id say do as you wish and play as you want to. Don't worry about other factors unless you find yourself becoming too attached. :)

My personal response would be biased as well since as a raider I get a rush out of the game when doing so, I rarely log on to do much else unless my friends decide it's a good time to drag me from the void to do something random.

I don't know, I would wait til cataclysm myself really, the game is in the midst of it's down period where most of the WoW players themselves are having to come up with things to achieve and complete. People are on vacation or just plain relaxing from the ICC period where the race to finish it was in full swing.

Or if you are aching to play wait until the gnomeregan/echo isles patch, it would provide entertainment and a legitimate start to the Cataclysm storyline, so you know whats going on.

As with any game you have to make sure it's soothing you will enjoy and coming back right when there is nothing going on/huge changes about to come, is a bit foolhardy.
Ruby sanctum wasn't that interesting enough to continue playing and I just raid twice a week now to keep my guild happy.

I don't know about you, but I'm going back to WoW if I can manage my homework at the same time.
I like how they're changing so much in the game and also, I can finally play alliance without feeling ashamed.
