Everyone should know by now that Halo Wars came out and that it was supposed to make console based RTS's a reality. However, personally after playing it I wish they would have just made it for the computer rather than limit you to such extremes to make it playable on a limited button console system. Lack of grouping, setting waypoints, small number of troops, limited buildings...list goes on. However I'm a PC loyalist and so I'm wondering if everyone else feels as I do or if they think Console RTS's are a good Idea. Anyone care to say?
Edit:
Well it sounds like people have only a slightly varying, but I would like to address the one point brought up. Do you think its possible to make intuitive enough controls to make a console RTS able to be feasible in features to a PC? I mean if they were able to give you control groups (not just splitting your squad automatically, that hardly counts) and could get past limited tech tree's could they be good? Of course micro management is impossible to the level it is on the PC but games like Total Annihilation (If your an RTS fan you should know what that is, if not google it) managed to have minimal mirco management without having to dumb down everything. So is it possible to make an intuitive control scheme to run a console RTS?
