I've been playing Jedi Knights: Jedi Academy again, and I'm wondering Lucas Arts should create another game just like it? Sure it was a great game, but I am not talking about remaking, I'm talking about creating another game exactly like it. The Customization was immersive, and the gameplay was good. That is all that is needed to make another game. And if a game like exactly like Academy, excluding Story of course, would you play it?

No. They need to make another Battlefront above anything else. I know they didn't make the first 2 but I'm pretty sre they could now. Apart from TOR and a Battlefront sequel I dont want to see any other star wars games. Just my opinion on things

No, soley because I'm fucking tired of Lucasarts milking Star Wars when they used to work with a bunch of different, and awesome franchises.

Ask me about Loom.

I would love another Jedi Knight. While we're at it, I'd like to see a current gen X-Wing or *drools* Tie Fighter. You guys can have your Battlefronts and your Rogue Squadrons, but I'd like those of us who grew up on the respective original Star Wars FPS's and Flight Sims to finally get another entry.

As much as I like the Old Republic franchise, my favorite is always going to be the action packed Jedi Academy.
I can't get enough of it.

No. I kind of liked Academy, but LucasArts needs another game about Kyle.

It should be set in an alternate Universe where the "Jaden turns to the Dark Side" thing actually happened, and you go after him.

Combat-wise, make it as much like Outcast/Academy as possible, only make some of the Force powers more like the ones in Force Unleashed.

Hell yeah. I liked the customization options, but felt that they were a bit limited in certain aspects. With all of the new advances we've made a sequel to Jedi Academy would be a thing to remember.

If you're talking in terms of gameplay, then sure, I would hope that the franchise is continued one day. Matter of fact, whenever Academy is brought up, I'm a little saddened, because my current machine just won't run it. I can never be sure what the issue is, the install goes absolutely fine, hell, even Outcast works perfectly, but Academy gives me any number of ludicrous error messages.

I miss you, Jedi Academy, and all of those awesome mods I downloaded...

The whole Jedi Knight pack, 5 games, is on Steam and is compatible with all programs that i know of. Or atleast its working on my Vista 32 bit. Its about 20 dollers, good price for all the games.

You have to remember that the game is old, back in original Xbox. If they brought it out redifined on 360, the customization would be increased 100 fold.

Heh, I headed over to Steam after I posted to check out the price of JKA actually, so I'll be seriously considering it. I am really hoping it's just my discs (they're not in great shape) that's the problem and not incompatibility with my system - which it shouldn't be, I'm on Vista32 also.

Also, on customisation; if there were to be another JK game and customisation was featured once again, I'd hope they'd give us a hue slider for lightsaber colours. This was featured in a mod for JKA I believe.

And who...
... else killed Rosh? Anyone? It felt good, didn't it?

That would be pretty cool to see happen but like some other people I think that a Battlefield game would be better or a sequel to Republic Commando.

There should be a new Jedi Knight game (starring Katarn) in general. They need to remove dual wield and double bladed sabres though.

Jedi Outcast > Jedi Academy

A new Jedi Knight game, but not a new Jedi Academy. JA was a great example of using a blank protagonist poorly. The entire story was told by everyone else, every character was more interesting than Jaden and you were basically a hand that moved a lightsaber to kill stuff instead of an actual character.

Kyle should make a comeback, or at least another specific character. They could also move away from the era in which the first games were set and use some of the Star Wars expanded universe. Also, they really should overhaul the 3rd person controls, they were dreadfully imprecise.

Other than that, a FPS/3rd person Jedi game is always a good thing. Thankfully, Force Unleashed 2 is on its way...
