It just came to me as to why is there such an obsession with Chuck in most internet forums. I was just on tvseriesfinale.com for a hypothetical/user poll of which shows should be saved from being cancelled starting from so many and now down to two. One of which being Chuck. Now it's been on about 3-4 years now and it's quite infuriating, for lack of a better word, that there is such a cult following with the show high praise for it despite it being very generic, not very funny, and just overall meh. I watched the entire first season and I just found it to be abysmal and couldn't find a redeeming thing about it. So I guess share your opinions on it maybe someone can explain it to me cause I really don't understand all the hype.

It's Jake 2.0, but crappier.

They canceled a legitimately funny, engaging, and good show after half a season.

Its spiritual successor, with less charm or character, has been running year after year.

The universe sucks.

What's a Chuck? I voted for it to be cancelled anyways, because for the most part, all TV programs shouldn't exist, and I always play the odds in this sort of thing.

Couldn't agree more. I like Chuck. There's worse shows that exist that haven't been cancelled (Skins, Glee, Hollyoaks, 90210) and better shows that have (Firefly, Spaced, Black Books)

I really enjoy it, and I'm looking forward to the third season coming out in the UK. Why cancel it if it still gets the viewers?

I really enjoy the show. It isn't as funny as I had hoped (possibly because it reminds me of the much funnier Reaper, which I really didn't want cancelled) but the characters are great! Didn't know Yvonne Strahovksi voiced Miranda Lawson, but before I found out about that I told my friend that she would be the perfect Miranda. Coincidence!

I found Chuck, Casey, Sarah, Ellie, and others to be awesome characters. Wasn't completely bought on Morgan to start with but he eventually grew on me, but he was nowhere near as endearing as Sock from Reaper. Bryce seems like a douche but he only got Chuck kicked out of Stanford to save him, which is a good thing...well, don't QUITE know if that's the reason. One of my friends told me there was more to it than that, which intrigues me.

Overall, this shouldn't be cancelled. Very well done show, which makes even the irritating characters likeable (Morgan. Once again, wasn't keen on his character to begin with).

I'm a fan of Chuck. That said, no one else has to. I hope it stays on the air, some people might not-but if you don't like it just don't watch it. As for making room for something better, this is on NBC which recently opened up five weeknight slots with the whole Leno thing.

I admit I quite enjoy it, but most the time its because Adam Baldwin always looks like he's having so much fun playing a fairly 1 dimentional character and so its hard not to like him. Pity Chuck is a bit annoying.

Side topic: Why is it in various TV series this secondary/tertiary characters are more interesting/entertaining then the lead?

I'm not too keen on Chuck. I watched a bit of one episode and I really couldn't get into it. But if plenty of people like it, then it shouldn't really be cancelled. You're not forced to watch it you know.

i enjoy Chuck but the "will they wont they" between Sarah (now Sam...wtf?) and Chuck is getting old...fast.
