Just wondering really. I've put in 86hrs on my main character but have gone from playing every day to once a fortnight. The constant back and forth fetch quests have become tiresome for me (although I am playing on PS3 so the loading times are maybe more extreme-I have Morrowind and Oblivion for PC). The other thing is it just feels too easy with the need to search and explore nullified by the marker on the compass (I suppose you could un-highlight the quest and still do it though...). I want to love it but today I don't.

Anyway, how do you play Skyrim? It might change my, or someone else's, opinion.

I've dialed back on the role-play aspect since Oblivion, in favour of a more casual, game-friendly experience, but I still play my character as a real person, not just a vehicle for fetch quests.

I don't.

I found it mildly enjoyable to begin with, back when it was all fresh and new and begging to be explored.

But eventually the sheer repetition got to me. I was sneaking through my 24[sup]th[/sup] cave full of bandits, cutting my 721[sup]st[/sup] throat and looting my 1852[sup]nd[/sup] corpse when my momentum promptly ran out.

As God.

My character is the divine descendant of my last god-like Oblivion hero. I take any means to further my power, I'm level 48 now with 5 skills 100 maxed others on their way to that same point. I do anything to expand my influence -all guilds and notable quests. I do anything to expand my wealth. I collect all the most powerful artifacts and powers. And I bring swift justice to any who get in my way.
