I CANNOT DECIDE!!

I am fully aware that PC supports higher graphics as the PS3 is limited to directX9 (or..something), however my dilemma is despite having the better engine on my PC, I can't look past the fact that if I get it on PS3, I'll be looking at those lovely vistas on my big ass plasma.

So, what are your thoughts guys and gals? Pros and cons of both? Many thanks!

EDIT: My PC/TV Setups are...let's say, extremely difficult at the moment, so hooking the PC up with HDMI would really be a pain in the ass, otherwise yes that would be the obvious solution.

Get it for PS3 and PC! I am! You won't regret it. Playing 2 characters at the same time is fun, too.

I am buying it for PS3, but if you would like to mod your game, buy it for the PC.

You know you can plug your PC into your big screen, right?
I'd say you should always get Elder Scrolls games on PC unless you have a particularly compelling reason to get it on a console.

I believe it's OpenGL. Anyway, I would get it for PC, Oblivion had some rather interesting mods which should extend the longevity of the game considerably if Skyrim will be modifiable. I only say "if" Skyrim is modifiable because lately developers have been saying fuck you to modders.

I'm not equipped to purchase contemporary games on a PC platform and the current console I own is a 360 so I'm going to be getting it on that. As people have said before me, if your really fussed about mods then get it on the PC but otherwise I really don't see much of a difference.

I'd say PC; if you want to play on your tv, just get an HDMI cable. I've been using one quite a lot recently and it's wicked. They're cheap as well; about £4 for a gold plated 5 metre cable.

YOU GUYS! DONT TEMPT ME Haha, apparently the mods for PC are going to be made compatible for PS3 as well (at least according to reports from Bethesda), not sure how that'll work though

This is my fault - did not mention that my plasma setup is a ***** at the moment so rigging the PC up would be a real pain in the ass.

Modding was confirmed already. Bethesda knows that the modding community will fix any problems they couldn't fix themselves (and I'm saying that in a good way) as well as extend the life of any of their games at least twofold.

OT: Even though you already decided, PC.

People can say what they want to, but consoles run on 7+ year hardware. There is NO ... FRIGGIN' ... WAY that a console can keep up with a PC. No way in hell.

Even though I don't have a PC that could run it and buying a PS3 would be cheaper than getting a brand new rig, I'm STILL going to wait to buy Skyrim until I get a new PC. Besides, with the PC version you can get user-made mods ... or even make one yourself! It's fun once you get the hang of it! :D
