I played the Xbox version of Skyrim originally before selling all of my games. I considered getting it on PS3 when I heard all DLC's would be half price, but PC has mods, so I bought the PC version and got it on that.

I've already bought it but I'm afraid...
Someone put my fears to rest D:
About the DLC itself or how well it works?
I can only speak about the DLC itself really.
The main quest isn't that long, but it is fairly good. The story isn't particularly climatic, but to be honest I felt that about the game overall, as much as I enjoyed it. It's interesting though, but could have done with a little more detail. I haven't done all of the side quests, but I thought they were pretty fun.
You get some cool new items such as some new armour types, weapons, shouts and perks (I won't go into specifics in case they are spoilers for you). The area you go to is interesting, although like Dawn Guard I felt too much of it was too similar to Skyrim itself.
Is it worth the full price? I'd say if you still have a lot of Skyrim left in you then yes. Otherwise it may not add enough to warrant it. If you got it for half price then I'd say you made a pretty good deal to be honest.

I bought it. I haven't started the DLC yet because I started the game over and I'm waiting to be lv.20 before I go to Solstheim. 14 hours in and no bugs or freezes whatsoever - except one hargraven corpse falling out of the sky. I'm satisfied with Bethesda's work so far. And 50% off the DLCs is a nice touch.
You may struggle at level 20.
I went in around level 30 and despite having heavy armour rating of around 65 and block (using a shield) of around the same I still died a lot at certain points. I also had the perks to increase effectiveness at level three for both (60% effectiveness increase).
Although of course it depends what type of character you use. Mine was sword and shield, no sneaking or magic.
