Poll: So what's your Sin?

Title says it all, which of the seven deadly sins are you most guilty of. I'd prefer to know why, but if it's ultra personal I can't force you


Mine is definately Envy. I try to keep in in check, but I can't help but be a little hateful of the big alpha guys with a hot girlfriend and top-dog status.


Edit: I stress the term "most". some people obviously fall into more than one, but what's your biggest one lol.

I'm a fan of all seven. Though if I had to choose one, I'd go with Wrath.

As for why I chose Wrath, you'd just have to look at my username.

All of them are about equal except envy, greed and wrath. Don't have either.

3: Gluttony. I try really hard not to end up fat. I have a definite taste for food.

Pride, although I do maintain that it isn't a sin. I recognise that I am, in fact, more intelligent then most people I meet. Kind of confuses me, actually, because I'm not really THAT bright.

I'd have to say mine is Pride, with a close runner-up at Lust. Sloth takes third, but it's not quite to the same degree as the aforementioned two.

Can't say that Greed or Gluttony (missing from the poll, BTW) are my sins, though. I actually consider Charity and Temperance, their opposites, to be my strongest virtues.

In almost every list Pride (Latin, superbia), or hubris, is considered the original and most serious of the seven deadly sins, and indeed the ultimate source from which the others arise. It is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to acknowledge the good work of others, and excessive love of self (especially holding self out of proper position toward God). Dante's definition was "love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one's neighbor." In Jacob Bidermann's medieval miracle play, Cenodoxus, pride is the deadliest of all the sins and leads directly to the damnation of the titulary famed Parisian doctor. In perhaps the best-known example, the story of Lucifer, pride (his desire to compete with God) was what caused his fall from Heaven, and his resultant transformation into Satan. In Dante's Divine Comedy, the penitents were forced to walk with stone slabs bearing down on their backs in order to induce feelings of humility.

I am actually all seven pretty habitually. However, sloth is the most frequent. It is a good thing I also show all seven virtues so I am good to go.
