I don't know how many people play Terran, but it's a whole messload in the lower leagues---as a zerg player, the threat of early aircraft is just insane because aside from the queen you basically have to just tough it out until you get the next tier of tech. Even then, the zerg air-to-air is made of balsa wood. I was talking to some friends (they'd played starcraft 1, and can't stop lamenting on how lame the zerg have become since brood war) and we think there should be some alternative to zerglings, the same health and same damage but air to air instead of ground to ground. Maybe call them flies? Airlings? I dunno, that's Blizzard's job. Anyway, if anybody's got thoughts on some better zerg units that need to come with the expansion---

Zerg dont need a new unit, they need a slight buff and terran needs to be nerfed a bit to make the game balanced...

Why don't you just burrow them if you're attacked from the air?
Or set up some of those anti-air things?
Or make some Mutalisks early on and harass them so they don't have a chance to make air units?

I play as Terran in Diamond league, and I can tell you that no diamond league Zerg player would loose to fast banshee. Terran can't fast tech if Zerg keeps up the pressure with Zerglings/banelings or roaches. And always remember to scout. If you see a Terran fastteching just go full on the attack, because he will have a very small army to save resources.

It's not the units, it's your strategy.
There are plenty of ways to counter an air rush, you just have to know what to do.

Easily countered by getting detectors, and hydras. Zerg aren't underpowered, you're just not that good with them.

Also going full mutas is suicide against Terran, seeing as they can span Vikings and demolish you.

I Agree with Vilcus on this, the games races are fairly well ballanced.I recomend doing the training missions. Try corruptors and get the most use of their ablitys.

To get Banshees, your opponent has to build a Barracks, then a Factory, then a Starport, and then a Tech Lab.

To counter it, you need Hydralisks, which need a Spawning Pool, Lair and then a Hydralisk Den. Or Corruptors, which need a Spire instead of Hydralisk Den.

You're telling me that you can't get some Hydralisks/Corruptors and one Overseer in the time it takes for him to get some Banshees? What about a couple Spore Crawlers? Or at least pressure him with Zerglings/Banelings/Roaches?
