Keep Staring.

What happens?

Isn't that cool? :)

What other weird little tricks of the human body do you know about?

Edit: Thanks to phreakdb: if you're having problems, try and be less than a foot away from the screen.

Just checking.

It's supposed to disappear right? I'm not actually a Jedi or something?

Edit: Be right back. Making some camo out of this pattern. Stealth suit, here I come!

Ha! Yes, that's very cool. I won't spoil what happens, but suffice it to say I expected nothing to happen and I was wrong.

Wow that's actually really cool, first only the top part did then the whole thing went! I am going to keep staring and pretend I am a wizard who can make stuff vanish!

Yeah that is pretty cool. Read about it in a Cracked article [http://www.cracked.com/article_19506_6-scary-tricks-that-amazed-us-as-kids-explained-by-science.html]. Thought it only worked with moving/changing parts though, guess I was wrong.

That's pretty cool. The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is this
where you have to count the circles, but that's pretty old.

Pretty nice, and i have noticed that before though :p
And i have one...
Apparently, you can see through your finger when you put it up to your face because your eyes take in what is behind it and replicate it...
:p

Or something like that anyway.

Argh! I can't make it work. I've started at it with and without blinking for ages and it just sits there. Part of it kind of faded a little once or twice but that's about it.

nope. didn't work. The one on the wiki didn't work either.
The way to do it, because I used to have problems, is to stare at a fixed point and not to acknowledge the flickering. If that fails, try going cross-eyed slowly.
Also works with the Magic Eye pics.

I had the same problem, You've got to focus on a specific point preferably the center of the image. If you don't mind me asking, do either of you have aspergers?
I did try that, and I tried what I used to do with Magic Eye things and kind of looked through it. That made it fade very slightly but only for an instant.

And no aspergers here. Does that have an effect on this kind of thing?
