DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A GENERAL DISCUSSION OF OPINIONS, ANYONE WHO IS HERE TO START A FLAME WAR PLEASE LOCATE YOURSELF INTO A STRATEGIC POSITION 50 FEET ABOVE THE SARLACC PIT.
Sure this is an obvious topic for some, but I like to always see how a community has those divided and those who speak in summary. My first point being that comparing these two games in general is a bad idea.
TF2 is a game centered around points, not kills. You win by capturing objectives before your opposing team completes theirs. Kills are less relevant but still necessary to prevent the opposing forces from taking victory out from under your noses.
COD, which at the point is an amorphous mass, is centered around kills, and while objectives are still present in some game modes, Team Deathmatch and its variations are by far the clear dominating game mode in this IP.
TF2 features 9 classes, with varying degrees of skills required to effectively use stats and weapons to advantage.
COD usually features custom classes allowing a mesh of effective weapon strategies, although this DOES allow people to just put together the least balanced weapons at the time.
If I didn't cover anything post below. If you think I got plenty of things correct/incorrect, post a discussion below, I would like to hear some opinions about this.
