Well, Vertigo is owned by DC and I was talking about the two mainstream oldies. I don't know about you but the "Marvel or DC" argument came up a lot at my lunch table. If I was taking all companies into the mix we'd be here a very long time just listing off all the independent groups.alwaysrockon said:where is dark horse, vertigo, or atomic fox?
I'd have to disagree, but, only if we're counting Vertigo. I mean, I've looked a lot of Marvel's stuff for a serious equivalent like DC has with Vertigo, and come up empty. But if we're talking about their main line-up, I'd go with Marvel I guess, they're just more fun overall, and DC er...well, so a lot of the main books are a little crap. Though there are a few here and there, Batman for example has rarely let me down, from the Long Halloween to The Killing Joke to The Dark Knight Returns, all freaking awesome :3TheEvilDuck said:The correct answer is, of course, Marvel.
Ah yes, I agree that Vertigo is incredible and has given us things like the Sandman and all of Gaiman's other stuff (well, most of it) but on the mainstream level Marvel kicks DC's ass.GothmogII said:I'd have to disagree, but, only if we're counting Vertigo. However! Above even those, I count Dark Horse Comics to be far superior, mostly because they get all the weird stuff :3
Those bastards don't deserve the DC logo on that graphic novel, as awesome as it is.Sewblon said:DC, seriously Watchmen!
