Okay, so I have this friend who constantly talks about how retarded Bronies are, but I'm not to sure what he even means by the word "Brony." So people, is the definition of a Brony:

(A) ANYONE who likes MLP (watchers, doucebags, sickos etc.)
(B) A DOUCHEBAG who likes MLP. Their behaviour could include: talking incessantly about the show, referencing it in situations/threads/forums where it is not needed, threadjacking a thread/forum to talk about it, drawing disgusting "Rule 34" images of it etc.
(C) Someone/sickos who likes to draw or view MLP porn (I highly doubt it is this option) or
(D) None of the above
(E) A nice person who just likes the show, regardless of age (watcher)

And why can't people learn to spell lose/loose right? Are they morons or something? Wait, ignore this last part. On with the answers...

Oh dear.

OP: A Brony, as is my understanding, is a guy beyond the target age of the show who enjoys watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Say, and 16-40 male who follows the show. They don't necessarily have to be the ones with shirts or the ones who draw the characters in human form so they don't have to feel bad about wanking to cartoon animals.

Most of the time, they're average guys who enjoy a cartoon.

Oh yeah, if option (C) is still there, ignore it. I just deleted that one because it is the same as option (A). So, go option (A) if you think it is.

And I added option (E), which is just watchers, or "nice guys" who just like the show regardless of age.
Try using the quote button, it's on the bottom right-hand side of every post. Same as the edit button on your own posts. Otherwise people won't know you're quoting them and it'll just look like you're bumping your own thread.

Just a heads up.

A, pretty much. A fan of the show. Any fan of the show.
Nah, I'm pretty sure the term just refers to the periphery demographic of teen / young adult males. You wouldn't call an 8-year-old girl a Brony.

I consider it to be a catch-all phrase for male fans who like the show. I consider myself a "brony," even though my fandom isn't as intense as others (not interested in the fanfiction/shipping and absolutely despise the porn). Unfortunately the term has been corrupted somewhat recently by both extremist fans and haters who have put their own spin on the word.

Basically if you like the show and have a "Y" chromosome, you can call yourself a "brony" if you want to. Hell, I don't have a problem with females that want to call themselves "bronies" if that's what they prefer.

Yeah, you may be right. The "Bro" part kinda implies that it refers to the male fans of the show. But to me it's just like the term "Trekkie" for a Star Trek Fan or "Gleek" for a fan of Glee. For female fans i've heard the term "pegasister" which never really caught on...
