Despite having 25, I somehow escaped the Doctor Who fenomenon, most likely because I´m Portugues, and our ideia of "TV quality" is not sucking as much as the new Green Lantern movie.
As time went by in this website, I´ve become more and more interested in Doctor Who, so I did my research and found out that there are 10 Doctors. Lucky me. So, the question is this:
Which one is the best one? There might be more than one, like the old Doctors or the new Doctors, but I really want to know your opinion.

Oh, wow. You're doomed. You've just most likely summoned the untold legions of diehard Whovians upon you. The question of the "best" Doctor has driven fans for decades now, and it's a question every fan has their own interpretation of. So, there's no easy answer. The best you'll get is who each person feels was the best, and their reasons for such. The worst you'll get is a flame war.

For what it's worth, while I appreciate all eleven Doctors, my personal favorite is Eleven. He has a vibrancy and insane love of life tempered by well-hidden anger issues while still being haunted by his actions during the Time War in his Eighth incarnation. Also, I love his childlike wonder at the universe. Ten was my first Doctor, however, and my best friend's favorite is the Ninth Doctor (he loves his ears for some reason). I guess my point is that no one can tell you who the best Doctor is, just who they feel is the best. I'd recommend exploring the Doctor Who wiki (http://tardis.wikia.com/) and looking through the eleven Doctor's pages, and seeing which one you think you like the most.

Oh, and welcome to the fandom!

PS: Oh, and we're actually up to eleven Doctors now, referred to as the First through Eleventh.

Your first one, usually. I've only seen 8-11, but I think they all play the role well and I like 'em all. Favorite is probably whichever one is on the air at the time.

My personal favourite is Christopher Eccleston, number 9. Then the current, number 11. I hated David Tennat. I really really hated him. I'm also not a fan of the older series' either. Though Matt Smith is knocking it out the park at the moment.

Matt Smith, hells to the yeah. I only say that because I've not seen any of the classic episodes, so I don't know if there's a better one (there probably is though). But of the newest three, Matt Smith is the best. At first I thought he'd struggle to beat David Tennant, but he has proven to be the better Doctor so many times in the past two years...

For me it would have to be either: Patrick Troughton (2nd doctor) or Christiphor Eccleston (9th Doctor), because Patrick's doctor has some of my favourite stories (the cybermen episodes) and Christopher's doctor was my introductio to Doctor Who

Note: Special mention to Colin Baker's Doctor who i think is underratted

Tom Baker, that scarf was totally awesome, and David Tennant, because he was just so brilliant. In saying that, Smith isn't too bad either.
