Okay a while ago i played Fable2 and i liked it. But what i didnt get is the emotional connection someone felt with the dog. It may be me just being emotionally fucked up or just the fact that i have a real dog but i didnt get the intese feelings i heard someone got for the mutt.
Anyone agree or disagre? (so i can know if im the only one who saw him as a funny minimap=)

The dog was awesome. He made adventuring halfway across the world so worthwhile.
Keep on rockin' dog. And Reaver, cause he's played by Stephen Fry.

He was my bud,
I chose to keep him over the money it offers at the end of the game.
So I guess I'd say "He's worth keeping around."

More useful then the Dogmeat, that's for sure.

I called him bannana's and threw a ball for him and i gave him a pink collar then I sacrificed thousands of people and cash for him. To be fair it's not like money and having more people around is any benefit to me, actually why did they only give me a statue I mean if someone saved millions of lifes you'd expect them to at least get you a new dog....

Edit: Actually those bastards did shit all for me, i'm off to start mass murdering again. I save all there life's and they give me yet another statue cheeky little shits.

I shot him myself, teary eyed behind a barn with a shotgun...
I couldnt manage to do that to a dog in a game even xD (not the fable dog either because he is still cool even tho i dont scream out ina gony when u know what happens in the game (if you know what)) im like really sad when i shoot the rabid ones trying to kill me ^^

I'm half way between yes and no. I liked the Dog - I didn't feel like he got in my way or anything, and I loved his animations and how realistic he could be. On the other hand, it seems like everything that was promised about making you "fall in love" with the dog didn't pan out. It was just another hype that didn't live up to my hopes.

I bet you never had your ass saved by Dogmeat delivering a critical hit in the groin on an Enclave Patrolman early in the game, on your way to Navarro :)
My Dogmeat ran into an injured Deathclaw early on, I reloaded and he did the same thing, eventually I just did what I said in the post above to tribute Old Yeller.
Mine ran into a buch of mirelurk hunters 3 saves in a row..... i told him to go back to the vault and went back and got him and placed him in my house. (he is just standing there all day long.... kinda creepy but i like to think he keeps the robot company.

Being the animal empathy guru that I am, I was wholeheartedly attached to the little guy. He was the reason I killed Lucien before listening to his monologue.

"Do you really think that-"

*BANG*

"You killed my dog. Shut the fuck up."
