Poll: The Old Republic, or Knights of.......III?

A long long time ago, there was supposed to be a KOTOR III. Unfortunately for me, that was scrapped, and a mmorpg replaced it. That left me (and still does) disappointed. I would rather play a new addition to the fascinating storyline, than gab with my friends in the Star Wars universe.

So, now that E3 is over, and a lot of you have seen the trailer... are any of you like me in that regard? Do you wish for a new KOTOR in place of TOR?

No, I'm not being sarcastic. That's why I wrote that I'm not being sarcastic, and I didn't write that sarcastically. I seriously think it's clever. Without sarcasm. I can not emphasize the "No sarcasm" any more.

It sux that they are making an MMO KotOR. I wanted to know the story line of my favorite person in the whole SW universe. Which is Darth Revan I loved playing both KotOR's but Revan had the best story imo. Guess I will never know what became of her that's very sad for me I waited yrs to know.

I already play WoW, and because of my time investment in that I'd rather not play another MMO, either in addition or instead. However, I love all of BioWare's RPGs, so for me, I'd prefer a KoTOR 3.

I would rather have Star Wars: The Old Republic than KOTOR III. I am pretty sure Bioware will explain what happened to Revan and all the other characters from KOTOR 1 & 2 in The Old Republic.

I'd end any person you wanted me to if you could irrefutably prove to me that KoTOR III would be in my hands after I did it. Yes, I know I'm unhealthy in my mental condition.

But, I like the ideas presented by TOR, as long as they can keep it from going the way of Galaxies and I can afford the monthly fee I can really see it having potential.

I will always take a great narrative experience over an MMO. However, it would seem that they are doing a good job of combining the two in this case, so I'm going to reserve judgement until I actually play The Old Republic.

Definitly looking forward to this game. Personally it is the Star Wars game I have been waiting for since I first watched Episode 4. And I am pretty sure they will explain what has happened to the characters in the game. Also, if you go on the site there is a comic series and a timeline explaining all the events surrounding the Treaty of Coruscant. Satele Shan, the Grand Master) is a direct descendant of Bastila....and....

I'd have to say yes. I currently play WoW and will continue playing it instead because it almost impossible to play 2 MMOs at the same time (I have a hard enough time even wanting to create alts in WOW). If they just released a new KOTOR then it would be a different story.

I want TOR more, but KOTOR III would have been great.

Since the second almost literally had no ending, and the potential for the next was amazing.

TOR seems much more risky though, and I think BioWare will pull it off to some extent. But the fact that it takes place long after the other KOTOR games, I doubt we will ever find out about what happened to the characters from them.

I'm sure they'll tie off any loose ends either in backstory or gameplay in SWTOR.

Yes. Im interested to see how story works in TOR, but i want to see a single player RPG first.

EDIT: oh yeah, I hope that Exur Kun gets explained because ive gathered that he was a sith lord, he attacked the rebuplic, but nothing more.
