GOTY for sure.
Amazing game, story and characters are top notch, and while the gameplay isn't for everyone, it serves its purpose and it does it well.

It also wins the "One of two games to nearly make me cry" game award.

Wait... You already bought it and now you're asking us if it's worth it?

Assuming you only bought Episode 1, BUY THE REST

It has a great story, I love it

Is it worth it?

Yes, yes, yes.

If you like games that make you feel sad, make you freak out and makes you emotionally exausted then this is the game for you.

Got it when it was the community deal on Steam (50% off, deal just ended not to long ago now it is back to 25% off for the holiday sale). So far I have just finished the first chapter and will continue the 2nd tomorrow. So far I am loving the story and enjoying it greatly. Gameplay is simple, but not bad.

So as a fellow new buyer I say, yes, very worth it for what I have gone through so far.

Oh yes yes yes. Buy it if it's on sale. It's certainly a worthwhile experience.

No, i don't think its a very good game. The best part about it is clementine by far, but I dont feel it is worth the price of admission on that alone. There isnt really a game here, its more of a story book, and I just cant recommend the thing for 50 bucks. It may be worth 20.
I got all 5 episodes for 12 bucks, sale on Steam and so far Im loving it

I just finished the first episode and goddamn is it amazing. The story and the characters are brilliant and although the gameplay is a bit uninspired, I can put that aside considering your choices change how the game plays out.

Yes, but with the caveat that you really need to avoid spoilers on this one. Also the Steam version keeps messing up save games, whenever you have a problem you can fix it by deleting prefs.prop inside the steam folder \Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead\Pack\default

In terms of game mechanics, it is hit and miss at times

In terms of story, setting and characters, hell yes, an awesome experience

I bought it on Steam yesterday too.

I started playing and didn't stop until I had finished the first 2 episodes, if I didn't have work today, I would have kept playing until the the wee hours of the morning.

Brilliant game, very immersive.

Clementine...

Dem feels...

If it keeps this up, it may just oust Journey as my game of the year.

It's not a perfect game. It has some of the same problems that afflict many adventure games, most particularly with the sense of having for characters to suggest things or unrelated events to occur before options necessary to the advancement of the plot are even selectable.

But it's a very strong story with a very strong cast, it makes its choices feel like they have real weight, and it achieves its emotional impact in a way few, if any, games parallel. It's absolutely worthwhile just to be in the audience to see it do what it does.

That would be Persona 4.
Although it's generally a much cheerier game than TWD.

I could barely handle the amount of feels. If you don't play through this, you're doing yourself a major disservice. I will not rest until I get all of my friends to play this.

Can I add Mother 3 to this list that just like mine?

Spoilers for Mother 3 and Persona 4.

I assume this scene is what you're talking about?
