Poll: The Yellow Light

ok, I was playing my ps3 yesterday when suddenly my system shut down. I tried to turn it back on and instead i got a yellow light on the disk tray, and after searching the internet i find that the yellow light i have is a indication of a system failure. in other words...my ps3 is DEAD.

and Sony is happy to help me fix my system for only $190. (sarcasm anyone?)
so heres my question to you: Is this unfair that i have to pay $190 if i want Sony to fix a hardware problem that shouldn't not even exist in the first place?

and if you could recommend any good pc games to me now since im going to have to switch to pc gaming for a while.

You can actually fix that yourself, but you may want to find a cheaper 3rd party to do it.

As for good PC games, I'm gonna jump in here to ninja a lot of people with TF2 and Portal

this is like the 5 confirmed Yellow light i have heard of. I heard you can get them to give you a voucher for 150 if you buy a new one which is a good deal to me. Was your system a 60 gig launch?

no my system was a 80gig...my friend also had this problem before me and he had a 80gig like mine too. must be something with the 80gig versions
also the $150 is bumped up to $190 because of shipping
