I got this text today. I found it interesting and thought this forum, with its love of spelling and grammar, would be a great place to share it.

This will put your dyslexia into a catatonic fit people! To my "strange-minded" friends:

fi yuo cna raed tihs yuo hvae a sgtrane mnid too. Cna yuo raed tihs? Olny 55 plepoe out of 100 can. i cdnoult blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. I have a t-shirt that says something to this extent. Yes, it is strange. But also, fun!

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's more than that that can read it. I think a significant majority can. Also, you can't call some people 'strange minded' when a minimum of 55 out of 100 people can.

Way more than 55% of people can read that message, and that isn't exactly new either, I remember reading it like two years ago. But yeah, I always did find this written language of ours interesting.

Heh. Last time I saw this, it was pinned to the wall of a rest stop in the Outback.

Indeed, although I've seen a poster very similar to that in my English class so I wasn't too surprised when I read through it.

Still kinda... mind-bending though.

Edit: I was lured here by the promise of Poll!

I've seen then ages ago, then I found it later as a poster on my secondary school's physics room. It was there before I was, and I started going there 5 years ago.

I'm pretty sure everyone can read it.

It's a lot more than 55 out of 100 that can read it. Anyone can if they're willing to just relax and skim it. As long as the word is the right length and starts and ends with the correct letter our minds will make up the rest.

But it is very cool regardless.

55 out of 100, pretty sure it's more than that. And how do I have a strange mind if I can read that?

Well, that was pretty easy to read. I read it in about a minute or two. Also, it seems that a lot of people can read that. Or, at least, most people on the Escapist can read that...
