I went to the doctors office today to get a phsyical and also got a shot. My appointment was scheduled for 3:45 but I ended up waiting until 4:20 before my name was called forcing me to wait a little over 30 minutes. However the last time I went to the doctors I had to wait over an hour for service and that still is faster than I usualy have to wait.

How long does your doctors office force you to wait? Also if you have any wacky doctor stories please share.

A vaccination has been developed for the wall of text virus! Secdule an appointment for today, get vaccinated tomorrow!

Nothing more than 30 mins, tops.

I feel really awkward when in the waiting room, and I always end up coughing a bit extra to prove to everyone else in the room that I am really sick and not some hypochondriac.

Yes, it's strange, but that's me, I guess xD

Depends. Doctors surgery by appointment, generally 15 minutes.

Accident and emergency in the hospital... well last time I went I was there for hours. It was new years day though.

There is a way to get seen right away though, just SCREAM!

I love fighting my way through traffic to go to a set appointment and then waiting an hour in the fucking waiting room.

If I had been late they'd have charged me money over it, so how come the doctor gets to waste an hour of my time? Maybe more realistic, time-conscious appointments should be made? I remember one time I went to an appointment and asked to see the doctor only to find that he wasn't even in the goddamn building and I was going to have to wait "about 45 minutes," which of course actually meant an hour and a half.

It never fails that when I'm in a waiting room for the doctor or dentist or whatever they always call me in just when I begin to go to sleep.

I never had to wait longer than 30 minutes at the doctor. Though I guess there's a difference between emergency rooms and actual appointments.

Better Then The Emergency Room any day (USA). There I once waited 3 hours, then left. Before I knew that I had panic attacks...

The doctoer takes about 30 min. But my dentist takes around ten minutes tops. But when I go to the orthedontist, about a 30 minute wait in the waiting room followed by a 15 minute wait in the actual office.

I never know how long I spend waiting for a doctor, but I am guessing 30-40 minutes tops, unless I have to go to the emergency room...then it is four hours.

I rarely have to wait long at all, they are very good where I go, which is why I spend the money for their ridiculous fees and travel all the way to the other side of town to get there.

Hospitals on the other hand?? Well they kept my brother waiting for 1.5 hours in the waiting room with a concussion and several facial fractures and I spent 9 hours tied to a bed with suspected spinal fracture before anybody bothered to see me.

i guess its cause my arm was twisted far out of place.

For a normal doctor anywhere from half an hour to a full hour, when I had braces and had to go to a orthodontist it took two hours on a quick day.

I had this really bad cough (still have it actually: the irony will come up in a sec) and went to find out if there was any serious problem because it had been with me for 12 days and actually got worse rather than better. I wait an hour to see an emergency doctor for the check, then had to wait another hour for the actual doctor. All he told was that I should just let it take it's course. No diagnosis, just "a viral infection" that I had to wait to get off.
The problem is, I have had it for 3 weeks now (16 days since the check, for those without math skills) and it still is getting worse. I think I may have actually damaged a rib coughing so hard for so long. And "there was no real problem".
