A friend of mine is a little neurotic. When he was visiting earlier today, he went to the bathroom and after he finished, he changed the toilet paper roll direction telling me, "It was backwards!"

So I was curious. Which do you use?
The only right answer is A, by the way. You can break it with one hand!

B. Over. It's easier to grab. Or something. I dunno. That's just how I was raised, darn it!

B.

This should be self evident and I will set the dogs on anyone who says different.

B is the way I've always seen it, though I can't be too sure. It's not something I've really thought about nor noticed.

Because you can't with B? I never have any issue tearing it with one hand(And yes, B is the proper way).

I've...never thought about it?

I seriously just go with the flow. If I had to pick one I guess I'd go with B?

The only real answer is B! Why should I have to unnecessarily reach past or round something to get what I need?

P.S. do I get any bonus points for actually being mid-dump whilst posting this?

The right answer is A. It has the advantage that you can lock the roll with your arm and then use your hand to break the paper. That comes in handy when the roll is almost depleted and the moment of inertia of the remaining coil is too small to allow an "acceleration rip".

I keep the roll of toilet paper vertical on the counter beside the toilet. So... neither, I guess.

B. Just cos it looks right and is easier to grab. I'll even turn it around if it's A. But not at someone else's place. I'm tolerant like that.

Meh. B is for people that like it to roll easily. A is almost mandatory for anyone with a cat.

But... Seriously, where is the 'I really don't give a shit' option?

B. I've always hung it that way, and it's at the stage where it bothers me when other people hang it the other way round. I can see no advantage to it being A though, you have to actually reach underneath the roll to even grab it in the first place, it just seems awkward.

A, if you take B the cats will play with it and scratch it all to hell when you're not looking.

What's with the need to only use one hand? Do you all work in sawmills or something?
I was just going to say.

Do some people need to 'give themselves a hand'?

I'm not even sure what I mean by that but something gross anyway.

Edit: Also, B.

I can honestly say I have absolutely no idea if the toilet paper in my bathroom is A or B, nor can I comprehend ever caring for any reason.
