This studio, tri-Ace, has been making good JRPG's for a while now. My question is: how many people still play JRPG's (japanese role playing games)? Are they worth it for the stories, or does the angst kill you on sight? Personally, I do enjoy a good JRPG from time to time. Just want to know how many others there are out there.

I vote no in the sense that I don't play new ones that much. I don't really like a lot of the newer ones and Im perfectly happy playing my old extensive library every so often.

Maybe if they'd tone down the anime BS a little but it's been coming off way to strong for me to really get into lately

I certainly still play JRPGs. I play other stuff quite often, but they're usually the best investment for me- my roommates will play them too, so I feel like I'm getting some good out of my hard-earned cash. It might help that we're all big anime fans, too...

I play games if they're good. Some JRPGs (Tales of Symphonia, for example) are in my top 10 games of all time.

I play JRPGs if they interest me, not because they are JRPGs. There are good JRPGs and there are bad ones, just like there are good WRPGs and bad WRPGs.

What do you like to play?

Pokémon!

Pokémon?
Pokémon!

Pokémon usually doesn't count as a JRPG to many minds, so by that standard I've never played JRPGs.
