Picture this;
A man apporches you in the street and asks for a moment of your time. You both have a wonderful conversation that ends with this stranger finding you to be a 'good' person.
He tells you to picture your dream, that entity of something you want so bad that it need it. It could be becoming a rockstar, a star athlete, the smartest man on earth, etc... Whether it be fame, money, or both.

He also tells you to picture your dream guy/girl, the person that you would have a true love that rivals many novels and stories. Everything from physical look to personality. EDIT: The dream girl doesn't come from no where, you "accidently" run into them and from there experience a true love. Anything else is a temporary attraction or still leaves you feeling lonely.

He tells you, you MUST pick one of these and he will grant it. He will either make your life-long dream come true or match you with your dream girl. However, the one you don't pick will never occur.

Be honest, which one could you live your life happily with?

This would be a hard confliction on me but in the end i put everything i had into being Mr. Olympia and therefore i must tell the truth. I would rather live my life completing my dream then having the perfect partner in my life.

What happens if your dream come true is true love?

In any case, I don't think I'd ever be happy with the bought true love as its creating life that is being forced into loving you and I couldn't live with that, so actor with superpowers please!

The dream, since my dream requires high levels of detachment from the emotional affairs of humanity. No love, no problem.

It's a trap! The wish doesn't account for inflation.

Or the fact that money is essentially worthless. That kinda trumps my previous argument.

I will work on the relationship myself. That way it won't feel as shallow as it would if it just happened to drop into my life.

Hello warhammer 40k universe. I would get the knowledge and the funds then make myself an army. But no... the firefly universe also looks so tempting. Oh well, just figure a future in space thanks to me and my wish.

I would force my brain to put the hopes of others before me, making my true dream to be world piece or the end of suffering. Or at the least, make me a spiritual leader to help humanity be a better place. Sure I won't find "true love" but being the most epic nice guy in the world would be much better in the long run.

lol

It obviously depends on a few factors. If the true love thing is just the person, for lack of a better term, suddenly phasing into existence, than fuck that. If it is the chance to meet someone like that, and being able to form something, then hell yes. If the former is true, then I will just stay with becoming an Ubermensch.

"Dream come true" for me. It's unrealistic to desire a perfect significant other, because, from what I've observed, part of what makes relationships special is that they're never 100% compatible, and they will inevitably fight. Life will feel a lot more enriching, though, when the couple finally make up and love and appreciate each other even more. They can continue to learn and grow with one another. If I had a girlfriend that perfectly reflected my tastes in physique, personality, and intellect, life with her would probably get boring and predictable. I'd rather have someone who can surprise me every now and then.

EDIT: My dream come true would probably be enough money to not worry about rent, insurance, school costs, and bills ever again for my whole life. That way, I can pursue, without distraction or stress, my passion for game development.

Dream come true, I would make it so my dream would be to end all conflicts in the world (Shut up I am a person who fears nuclear war a lot lol)That or make me president or something that would change a lot of peoples thinking.

Great question.

I'd say dream come true though. I may find my true love one of these days, but I may never get the perfect opportunity to have a real dream come true.

But wait, what if my dream would be to find true love?

Here's the question: Would the stranger changing your life erase the person you're with if you've already found true love?

I'm goofily in love with my boyfriend. So I'd ask for my dream. Hello radio/archivist job.

Dream come true, every time.

Love doesn't really hold a candle to being able to create mass and lifeforms at a whim, travel the omniverse as I choose and having the power of a god.

Somehow I feel I need to add a 'Muu ha ha ha ha ha haaaa!'

Nah, I'd be a pretty nice omnipotent being. Most of the time.

Let's change the factor now. If you don't choose the love option you'll forever be lonely or in relationships that mean nothing.
Please don't try and create a paradox where your dream come true would be true love. I don't feel like starting a philospohical debate over a simple question.

It sucks knowing the secret about love :(

i would argue that the "true love" really wouldn't be a true love becasue you simply wished for some perfect person, the love would be a total lie it was never real to begin with the guy/girl only loves you because you wanted this perfect person to love you.

i would probably choose my dream but i would ultimatly feel that i cheated to gain my dream rather then working towards it like others have.

Fuck love. Love is bullshit.
Everything to do with romance is awful and I have nothing but contempt for the subject.

However, I am also completely lacking any dreams or goals.
I fully plan to not survive past my thirties. All my time before then will be spent spiralling into self-destruction.

WHAT NOW MYSTERIOUS STRANGER MAN
