I was a Mega-Super-Duper-Huge-Uber Fan of Unforgotton Realms, watched every single episode quite a few times over...(I will not release the number!!!)

I was so sad the day they left the site, Tbh it was my main reason for flocking too this site in the first place and I spread this show like wild fire over the inter-webs and IRL.

People Loved It, Pets Loved It, even Eductated Mutant 6 Legged Monkeys Loved it.

The show was Hilarious the whole way through with tons of crazy plot twists too witty quotes and loveable songs. e.g. the paladin song !! <3

Anyway I was just wondering if there was any nostalga out there for this Beloved show in the Escapist Community ?

I think that Doraleous and Associates is coming close too filling that void left in my Heart from "UR"...We just need more episodes maybe they could work extra hard and release 2-3 a week then I'd be happy :D

and Game Dogs...don't even get me started on that poor attempt at whatever it is...just rip that right out of the site.

Goodness. You reminded me that I need to go to their website (Wittywizard.com) to see their stuff again. But it is also still here on the escapist. Hope they come back soon after they get their DVD's sold. I still need to buy one... or five...

Go buy the DVD of season one. If there are enough sales, the creator will quit his job and make more episodes.

So you see, instead of wishing that the Escapist would fund more episodes, you can help do so. I love the show too, and wish the Escapist would keep making more too, but since that won't happen, I'm going to but the DVD.

I don't care for it, because Rob moved away from spoofing D&D system and onto some nonsense-of-a-plot. If he kept making jokes about the tabletop nature of that game and everything related, i would have cared, but alas.

Remember Apocalypse Lane? Everything needs a build-up. Sure, Game Dogs seems to be direction-less crap on a pewter platter, but it may become better once it actually gets everything straightened out.

That's what made it great it kept it's root's but kept evoling as a show, and unlike GAME DOGS *I spit on thee* ... Unforgotton Realms was Golden from the get go...I don't see Game Dogs *spits...* getting any better unless they Up the Animation, Fire all the Voice Actors & find a better script writer with snappy faster Dialogue, Bad Idea for a show and badly executed.

It's need a headshot.

Plain and Simples.

I enjoyed unforgotten realms until they lost it and became just garbage, if they were to start over, thinking more about the plot etc then I think it would be great.

I also have fond memories of this show, but it's doesn't hold a flame next too the pure Fire-breathing Omega which is Unforgotton Realms.

They didn't lose a thing, the plot only became more wild and free.

It was amazing reading posts aftershows had aired and peoples crazy discussions on what might happen next week, he was very vocal with the community and always played too there comments Messing with their heads all the time.

Thats what you want in a creative Show.

Stealing lines from the old Dr. Demento D&D parody session was their worst offense, in my less-than-humble opinion.

Ugh I REALLY wish they were still around. When they left, Escapist tried to fill the void with shit like Game Dogs (which I don't find amusing in the least) and Apocalypse Lane (which I found just unpleasant to watch). The new Doraleus thing is kinda funny though. But yeah, I really do miss Unforgotten Realms.

But you have too admit he juggled alot of plot lines which he always tied up or used later for awesome effect. People steal Idea's all the time, E.g. Devil May Cry (Series) vs Bayonetta, even though it is made by the same guy :p

Or Saints Row vs GTA

Or World of Warcraft vs The World... :p

Or ...yeah yeah you get the picture...and I know they were Terra'bad examples but it's 6:20am and I'm a sleepy student QQ....Brain function (I.e. my memory) currently not working.

The plot lost its funny and direction and soon after that the show became a majority of unlikeable characters and worse voice acting. (I liked most the voice acting up until that point as it managed to accompany their personalities quite well (Nailo the nerd and Schmoopy as an arsehole... I love Schmoopy), I'm not asking for 'professional voice acting' but it just became as though they were trying to humor kindergarten children with horrible squeaky voices, its like when people fast forward shit on youtube and think its hilarious because everyone sounds like a chipmunk)

(That's a long bracket... you can probably just remove it if you so wish)

God I can't even begin to comment on the grammar, other than to say, please learn it.

On topic, yes it was a good show, though I felt it lost it's charm in the later episodes. The Escapist moved on, the creator is making DVDs for it so hopefully that isn't the end of your cartoon god, and we get to see some new content. Hopefully some of it improves over time, much like Apocalypse Lane did, and I look forward to fresh names and fresh content.

Loved that show. It made some ....odd choices in direction though. For example, making schmoopy look like Altair when his nunchuck weilding abraham lincoln lumberjack design was much more fitting and in every way funnier and superior, and having 6 strait episodes of meh harry potter parodies. Still, it seemed like it was getting back on track, and it was miles better than some of the newer shows on the escapist. I mean shit, they replaced it with that moviebob dildo, and now instead of getting it back they started not one, but TWO new animated things, game dogs (which is EXTREMELY campy and lame) and Doraleus and Associates, (which so far has had one episode that made me laugh and another that was average, so I'll excuse it.)
