Oh well. I don't think that the Wii has brought out any titles besides ZTP that have really given bang for its buck. I think of Nintendo's past consoles of being the great cornerstones of my childhood. The SNES and the NES64 were my guardians of childhood. Then came the PS2 and Gamecube and XBox for my teen years. I don't think Nintendo's "7th" generation has lived up to much compared to Microsoft's (i.e. 360 and computer games). however, this might be biased. That's why I am asking YOU on your ideas of how the Wii is holding up to its great heritage.

I liked Smash Brawl, and Sports was fun for about 45 minutes. Everything else about the Wii was either pointless (motion controls, friend codes), or terrible (graphics, 3rd party games). I'm not a graphics whore by any stretch of the imagination, but the Wii just looks awful in comparison to the 360 and PS3.

I have owned every Nintendo console at some point, and the Wii is undoubtedly the weakest as a games platform. Ironically it was the most profitable for Nintendo, even though it sucked so much ass.

I think I actually preferred Melee to Brawl, but I didn't play enough of Brawl to form a real opinion there. I found the Wii games sparse, and the interface not conducive to gaming (particularly in the areas where they forced it). Foremost among my thoughts though, is that I can only play with the WiiMote for about 2 hours before my hands have cramped up too much to continue.

Well, that is like being Alexander the Great´s younger brother, you may be great in your own right, but still; you are not Alexander.

The only game on the wii I would classify as "good" is brawl. There are a few that can pass "not shit" but really i do not think that thing is worth the plastic it's made of. Though i did like nintendo up to the tail end of the gamecube era.

The wii has a few good games on it (Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil 4), but I feel it was a bit a dissapointment due to the almost total dominance of casual games on it.

I know that the Wii was meant to be a family console, but I think that there's way to much effort being put into making mountains of cheap casual games as compared to making a balance of a few games that appeal to the more hardcore Nintendo crowd who bought the Wii expecting something better (like per say...me), as well as making the casual stuff.

I like the idea of Wii on paper, but there are so few games that appeal to me now. The last game I bought was Wario Land: The Shake Dimension. And it was alot of fun, but nothing else like it since.

To me The Wii is Nintendo's weakest console. I only bought it for Mario and Zelda and Metroid. And all they release is casual gamer shit.

What about after all of the SNES games are available on the Virtual Console?
The problem is that people would still refer to them as SNES games.

The Wii is doing okay but all the magic is gone. I apoligise for the rose-coloured glasses of nostalgia, but Nintendo used to make such fun games. The Wii contains the kind of fun that keeps you entertained for half-an-hour then gets stacked in the corner to gather dust.

The only titles I enjoyed playing were the new Zelda and...the new Zelda. The wii gets used to play gamecube games mostly. I paid all that money fot a wireless joystick and pretty graphics.

I like the Wii. It has given me something to play with my family, since most of them aren't really big on games, and I think it has its fair share of great titles. I don't know if it's as great as some of the other consoles Nintendo has released, but it's far from bad, in my opinion.

The Wii was my first console. It plays GC games and Super Mario Galaxy.

It served me well, but, 360 please!

A.

The Wii has lived up to its predecessors because it still gives an entertaining experience that is accessible by anyone as well as having the games necessary to hold the more devoted players.

And before someone jumps down my throat, if you say "hardcore" or "casual" anywhere in your statement I will fucking flog you.
