The nominees have been announced for the British BAFTA video games award, with Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood leading the nominations.

We (At least people in the UK...) can vote for our game of 2010 too.

Oh please Bioware could release a gears of war clone and it would be "teh best deepest rpg ever" Just because its BW.

Not true at all.

Mass Effect 2 is constantly debated in relation to whether or not it is even an RPG at all. Most game magazines refer to it as "action/adventure" and a lot of fans of the series criticise it for dumbing down the RPG elements seen in the first game.

If you head on over to the Bioware forums you will also see that 2/3 threads are about how much worse Mass Effect 2 is compared to Mass Effect 1.

This is hardly the attitude of a bunch of ignorant fanboys who adore everything Bioware does.

To be perfactly honest none of these games deserve the BAFTA award of 2011, but on the other hand i havent actully played ME2 so i cant really comment on that so ill give my vote to that.

You get flamed on every topic on there, and character discussion is in a different forum than game discussion so that point is irrelevant.

The fact that people get flamed for criticising Mass Effect 2 doesn't stop a lot of people doing it.

True, but that's generally because most people who dislike something on the internet cannot express that opinion without name calling, insults or general rudeness.

Threads that say "ME2 sucks because..." are not going to get the same recognition as "ME2 could have been improved by..."

A good example is a particular member of the forums who has written a lengthy blog on why the story for Mass Effect 2 is poor. This person has been agreed with and congratulated by a lot of people, including a lot of those who get very annoyed by all the "Mass Effect 2 sucks" threads.

Well, that's your opinion on the matter, others may think differently.

I included Mario over Limbo purely because I thought more people would have played it, and thus would be more likely to vote for it in this poll.

Personally, not owning a 360 or a Wii, I haven't played either.
